  11. thanks for all of your advice chaps , i will be looking into all of the above tomorrow night after work . it is on an S plate but to be honest its the best thing i have ever bought , for a while it had a ply box on the back for chipping (in which i broke both sets of leaf springs) and for the last 18 months -2 years its been used as a kit carrier for our off road work not to mention towint the timberwolf tw190 through fields oh and sliding down a sloaping field with the chipper last november (that really was nearly the end of the truck and chipper !! oh and me lol ) but all in all i really can fault the truck and i really would be lost without it .

  18. Like most of you i feel that many accidents are caused by rushing and in smoe cases poor work positioning , i like most try to get the job done as quickly as possible however i am now begining to buy equipment that will aid me in getting the best work position that i can and limmt the ammount of fatigue . Also in some cases i feel that more planning of your climb and in some cases taking advice from others really can help too !!
  19. some cracking trees but i hear that they could not find a certain black pop lol !!!!
  20. chers mate , they look awesome, i wonder what they are like to get parts for
  21. just wondering if anyone has had the same or similar problem - jumped into my the Mazda yesterday started the truck and drove off but within 10 yards the truck died (similar to running out or fuel) but the truck has half a tank of fuel , so i tried turning it over and the truck would still not start alto there is still plenty of compression and the cam belt is in one piece so it was left parked up for the day . This morning i went out and it started first time but the engine did knock a bit as it started - all i can guess is that it was caused by exes fuel caused buy turning it over so much yesterday but im still at a loss as to what caused the truck to die like it did yesterday . i have had the truck for 3 years and never had a problem with it before !!! anyway guys your thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated , so far my only thought is that it may be a faulty stop solanoid !! Many thanks Dave.
  22. i was having a look on tinternet and there dont seem to be that many RB44s aroud , well none that are for sale any way !!
  23. why ??? its simple - I had a 55 plate transit tipper and it was im my oppinion any better than the old transits !!! im sure a man with your intelligence can understand that it is not unusual for a tree surgeon to have had more than one transit tipper:laugh1:
  24. well observed !!! the 55 plate was what the lease company sent to me while they waited for my NEW transit that ford motors told them would be 3 months , thankfully it only took two months in which time the 55 plate transit had broken down twice and was guttless . and yes i had bought an ldv and if you really try hard and read the whole thread you will see that it lasted less then 48 hours and was sent back to where in which it came from !!! this is why i have stated in the post in which you make refrence to that i am looking for another truck but not sure what yet !!!! i hope that this clarifies my origional post:001_tt2:
