  2. i am currently in the proces of becoming ltd and now have to go VAT registered which i thought was going to be a pain in the arse BUT when speaking to my accountant he made me aware that i can actually caim the VAT back on any plant and vehicles that i have bought in the last 3 years !! needless to say it has cheered me up a little !!!
  3. go for it mate , try looking into buying it strate from the bulk coal merchants in wales by the artic load and bag it your self using your own peronalised bags that way you could put your name round by using your bags to advertise , but its only an idea of failing that why not buy the coal business from the guy thats retired ??
  4. ha ha ha ha i made myself spit my coffe out when i read what a had posted , maybe ART should re-name it the fart saver lmao
  5. hmm i think i will have to have a go on smaller rope , i have been told that it works better with the lock jack as well
  6. true , i think i will stick to my origional idea and buy another ART Friction saver !!!

  8. thanks bob . maybe i should have not been so lazy , i am currently climbing on marlow chamelion and to be honest im unsure about using smaller gauge ropes for reasons such as grip etc etc what are your thoughts ??
  9. a firewood merchant once said to me when i asked if he had ever sold coal as well replyed by saying that only the guys selling poor quality fire wood ever sold coal as it would possibly give the customer a fighting chance of burning the wood lol
  10. i have gone for the new protector pro , tbh i have up untill recently only had haix boots , but i had a pair of Eltens kicking round for a couple years so i thought i would use them and oh what a daft idea it was !! thry are totall crap and even the dew from grass soaks my feet lol , what boots are you using ??

  12. hiya guys , not been on in ages sadly because of internet problems in the house we had moved into but all is sort of sorted now as we are staying with the outlaws as our house is smoke dammaged ( land Lords fault) but anyway just wanted to wish everyone a merry christmas and a prosperous new year !
  13. anyone got any pictures of said rope ??
  14. im pretty sure that stihl do it but not sure of a price , the onkly problem with such chain is that it will dull verry quickly leaving you with a poorly cuttin saw that you cant sharpen easily when your out on site !! whats made you look into getting one ??
  15. i must admit that would be great for keeping on my harness and using with the other end of my rope or my other rope . maybe the missus will get me one for christmas to go with my petzel duo5 head torch lol , little does she realise it will help me to work at night , thus keeping me out of the house for longer , ha ha happy days
  16. looks like a great bit of kit , i wonder if they will make one with a pulley fitted ??? ,
  17. personally i would stop waisting your time and spend the money on an art friction saver , i have had one for 12 months now and highly recomend them , fair enough they do cost a bit but you get what you pay for IMO i use mune with a lock jack and would not go back to using a friction hitch any more , im now looking to get another friction saver and have been told that art do a deulux version using rope instead of webing , does anyone know if this is the case ???
  18. thanks the the storms over the last wek i now have plentys of timber to sell for next year and to be honest if anyone wants to buy it this year i will be more than happy to sell it green. as for the origional post i think that there wil always be the oppertunist fool out there willing to work for free , i have just quoted for 1000 meters of clearence for a new section of foot path to go in , i quoted jusk over 10k and who ever the other person is has quoted less than 6k lol , but to be honest if he wants to work on a site with poor access and a poor job brief that could see him there for longer then expected then good luck to him .
  19. or there is always mad harry from torquay , he has a Magrias deuts that should not be on the road but he will carry anything lol , any of you guys heard of him ???
