  13. srt is something im really keen on trying but down here in cornwall there aint many guys using modern methods to climb , whan is the next arb show and lets have some oppinions on a smaller diamiter rope that i can use with my lock jack
  14. sounds like a great job , thats the sort of job i would love to be on even as a groundy , what sort of size is the tree steve ??
  15. to be honest im really not sure what rope to get but im sure it will be 11mm maybe the samson rope but im open to oppinions
  16. ahhh thats where i went wrong , i will remember that for next time lol
  17. what size rope are you using your spider on jonny ? i have found with my lock jack that a foot ascender and a hand ascender can make long climba really quick and really easy espeacially on long climbas where you cant get your feel on the tree . im currently using marlow rope with my lock jack but am tempted to give thiiner ropes a go , all that puts me off it that im not built like the average racin snake so at 6"2 tall and 17 an a half stone im sure if i would get on with a thinner rope
  18. ha ha class , sounds like im not the only one to do these things , my best so far was washing my 19mm new england lowering rope an the washing machine 300 pounds and a new washing machine later i was still in the dog house , but she has got used to it now , the kitchen normally turns into a drying room for all my climbing gear most days if its been raining
  19. where can you get those trucks too and at what sort of price tag ?

  22. i would mach rather have got a positioner or the petzel head torch but i think the missus has got wise to buying me work stuff - last year she bought me new rope so it was off out to the park to play - that really did not go down to well at all
