  1. Cutting some 16 inch reclaimed pitch pine on the Laimet Smells amazing!!
  2. Cheers Graham I will give them a shout!
  3. Hi anyone know where I can buy simonds inserted tooth blade tips and shanks in the uk?
  4. Hi guys just wondering what people are selling there rough sawn timber (larch and douglas fir) at price per cubic metre?
  5. Nice bit of douglas fir cut today on the laimet. It's one seriously fast saw!
  6. Can anyone tell me if uk grown douglas fir is good for exterior use such as cladding and decking? What kind of life span I'm I looking at? Is it as good as uk grown larch?
  7. Looks a bit different now to how it turned up like! Sent from my SM-G920F using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. This one came from the Isle of Bute and was originally supplied by fuelwood but they don't support them anymore. I know in 1999 it was £38000. If it will do what laimet claim it should do over 20 cubic meters per 8 hour shift!. It's supposed to be 3 times as quick as a band rack but I guess time will tell on that one. It supposed to be able to do a 29foot length too. Once it's up and running I will take some videos. Can you put videos on here?
  9. I think there can only be a handful of laimet saws in the country? I know County 764 has one and Abbey timber has one too anyone else have one or know of any more about?
  10. It's a bit of a beast!:thumbup1:The knife is being painted at the minute. Your exactly right with the blade simonds inserts. Lancashire saws can sort me out they have hundreds in stock and at a quid a piece I don't think badly priced! I've just put all new bearings in it. It's built like a tank and really easy to work on.
  11. 42'' blade gives round about 20'' of cut. Im going to put a top saw on at some stage either circular or hydraulic chainsaw. 65hp three phase motor
  12. I'm in between Preston and Blackpool. All sorts of wood really but a lot of larch mainly. I make buildings
  13. Got the motor in place today and the electrician is coming Monday! Sent from my SM-G920F using Arbtalk mobile app
