They were quite rude, one outfit with a Rochdale number were particularly rude, that was a mistake because I am only a few miles away. They were somewhat taken aback next day when I banged on the door asking for an apology, called the cops on me and all. Cost half a days wages but it was money well spent to see them peeping out from behind the blinds of a 1st floor window. Don't think they hassled anyone else for money that morning:laugh1:

Either the plant will survive in the environment you have chosen to put it in or it wont. My Acers get some wind burn every year and some years my Magnolia looses its buds to frost but that's because I am making then live half way up a Pennine hillside.

As others have asked, are you free and clear legally about operating a business from the property ? Commercial milling isn't farm or small holding so make sure planning wont have an issue with what you are doing. If you are bringing in timber, processing and shipping it out you may well need planning consent.

2 men and a chipper would strip that out in a day without breaking sweat so the 700 would be a good figure, a bit less if nothing is coming off site. A bit more discount if you are any good as a brash rat with the caveat of a bit more if you are getting in the way

Do what Felix said. APF is THE place to buy, especially for a newbie. All the manufacturers will be represented and there will be dealers a plenty to compare prices. There will be a great deal of kit there that you didn't even know existed, much less couldn't live without so take a card with you. -

In short, there is no reason you cant take and pass the test if you want to. I went through this when I had a seizure following a stroke last year. DVLA rules (statute law) say have to have any seizures under control and should be free of what they call "levels of altered consciousness" for 12 months. You can get the paperwork moving 8 weeks before the end of the "ban" The whole thing, to a large degree farcical because it relies to a large extent on the driver telling the truth. The Glasgow bin wagon driver is a good example of this. My top tip, the key is to get past the DVLA medical line call handlers who have no medical training and are just reading from a script.

Surely this is a divinical question rather than a tree question. It matters not what a bunch of tree cutters think but the opinion of the Torah would be significant, ask a Rabbi or better yet, get the client to ask his Rabbi.

I lived and worked among Turkish Muslims for a number of years and the simple truth is that as a faith they are taught from an early age that its the Muslim way or no way, the rest of us are just infidels. They are believers from childhood and questioning the faith is just going to alienate them and drive them further into the hands of extremists.

Where does it say it cant go to Norfolk? Stop looking at the gift horses teeth, get together, have it delivered and share it, or you could just moan about living in Norfolk, either works for me
