  1. I missed that, I was watching it with the sound off and when I put it on the first thing I heard was an F bomb, I went to look at something else because chainsaws and swearing I can get anytime:laugh1:
  2. Bottom right of each post is a small triangular button to report tasty meat based foodstuffs
  3. Go to the top of the page and click on the knot guide, see if what you want is in there
  4. Whats it look like, there are a number of knots that will do the job
  5. The foul mouthed voice over didn't sound American
  6. Shot is aggressive but you wouldn't be using that, plastic bead or coco shell would be the media of choice, very gentle and no chemic.
  7. Water blasting
  8. A ten minute job for a media blast. You can get an attachment for your pressure washer.
  9. Worst idea ever, do not apply heat. Moisture pockets in the stone will vaporise, expand and cause pops and bangs some of which can be serious. At best you will ruin the surface and at worst you will be picking it out of your teeth
  10. If you want to put a vid for us all to see upload it on to you tube and link the URL in a post
  11. Makes no odds, your average tree surgeon goes in at knee height any way :laugh1:
  12. Ye gods man you sound like one of those gum banging politicians, all buz words and hollow promises.
  13. Yup, you simply cant recover enough line then the stem starts moving
  14. Be a professional do the survey and take the money or walk away. If you go down the path of informing developers will see you as a grass and that will reflect on the industry as a whole which is when land owners start pre-emptive felling with diggers
  15. Good question. The client wants a survey with a view to building. If you dob him in to the planners the client can (will) see that as a breach of confidence. Breach of confidence, particularly where a bucket load of cash is involved is likely to end in litigation.
  16. Ok so you report wont be favourable but if it comes to light that you were the source of the information, the developer is going to be, "upset" about your breach of confidence. What if they take the gloves off and break out the lawyers?
  17. PUWER wont make pulling a tree over with a vehicle illegal because it is a regulation rather than a law nor will it preclude the use of a vehicle for pulling, if it did we would all be leaving our chippers at home. Diggers were designed for excavation but where do you draw the line? Loading 8 wheelers isn't digging but many diggers do little else, demolition, pecker, shear grab, tree felling, timber handling, none of the above is digging.
  18. You are confusing what happened and what went wrong. What happened is clear to see, its fact and history and as such, cant be changed. What went wrong is a systematic failure and that is what can and should be changed.
  19. Well the best we can say us that something went wrong but its hard to say exactly what
  20. It has but the thread was deleted in a flash
  21. I modified an old bale elevator, fitted a hydraulic motor and replaced the wood slats for steel, it worked well using the tractor hydraulic service on the old DB 885 while the PTO mounted pump did the split
  22. Don't know but I would be asking the question on an electrical forum Why not just get a better lead?
  23. Rate for dragging would have been climbing rate plus 25% because its lots easier sending it down than dragging it. :laugh1:
  24. Plasterer, that's the job to have, best overhead to profit ratio and he is the bar owners best mate by noon most days:laugh1:
  25. Only 2 hammers, what kind of half assed shop are you running On a serious note, rather than piling up a load of weld a couple of "flitch" (its an English term for a plate designed to spread load) plates would have been better, and what's that hole in the top face all about:confused1::confused1:
