  2. You can always use paypal. Ok so there is a fee but there is a fee with a card machine too. Just make sure you transfer the money to your bank instead of frittering it away on eBay
  3. Its been on before, has he oiled that spring yet?
  4. 3rd that but would add Dunsley

  7. Yup, me too and I did something about it that wasn't whinging to people I don't even know on the internet, then whinging to the internet because my whinge got moderated
  8. I got the best part of 3 years out of my last pair, you can get them re soled:thumbup1:
  9. Airpower gold are by far the worst boots I have ever bought Bought them in January and they started to deteriorate a month or so ago, I have just binned them because the toecap area fell apart They weren't that comfy either Back on Zermats again, best move ever
  10. My sharpening hasn't improved at all lately. I learned to sharpen properly a couple of decades ago. I still maintain that people should learn to sharpen without an aid before they learn to sharpen with one. I once had a student that came on a placement and couldn't sharpen without a guide, he had to ask how I could possibly sharpen saws without one:thumbdown:
  11. This assumes that the people asking are fully qualified (in order to call himself a vet your vet wold have to be). The fact they are asking questions here only means they are either, not fully qualified or probably that its easier to ask here than reach for a book Student vets must ask questions too you know?
  12. Its all hand sharpening guide or no guide. Learning to sharpen with a guide will lead to people who cant do it without a guide, and one day they wont have a guide...........
  13. Good No you don't, just buy the file and learn to use it, using guides will de skill you or you will never learn the skills

    Socks!

I like these Helikon Norwegian Army Socks
  15. There isn't a lot you can do about this, the best you can do is to formally remind the tree owner of their duty of care to others. In this case it may extend to a third party inspection of the trees. If that fails your only option will be to pay for a report yourself and forward it to the tree owner. Assuming there are recommendations in the report that pertain to the health and safety of your property, a letter putting him on notice may galvanise some action. It might be wise to get this drafted by a lawyer
  16. As others have said, completely wrong on both counts
  17. Your mate wont rate them because he is a farmer not a forester
  18. In order for it to be illegal there would need to e a law prohibiting the activity. What law is that please?
  19. I wouldn't place too much store by the hours clock without some provenance, disabling the clock is as simple as can be.
  20. I wouldn't be too worried about that, a member of the public stealing timber is domestic and outside the HSE remit
  21. I have done a couple. How easy? Depends on your skill set but its not that difficult
  22. What's the towing capacity on that Whithams have it listed as 2500kg (from memory) Seems a bit meagre for a towing vehicle of that mass

As I remember there needs to be 15 a side and two sides so I recon you cant e the only one:laugh1: So the big question Union or League?
  24. This is very true but the other side of the coin is that if there are instances where the planners and tree officer cant cope, particularly in the light of recent cuts, they can use any such objections to support a case for more resources. Its what the clever bloke would do.
  25. Its not just as simple as "a little more financial", there are driving licence categories to be gained, "O" licencing, Tachograph and drivers hours regulations. This situation isn't going to improve, most people joining the industry cant drive anything over 3500kg and are restricted to a trailer no bigger than a well loaded wheelbarrow.
