  1. The reasons can be many and diverse, some of them are as unworthy and depressing as it gets so I gave up asking a long time ago. Just break out the saws and do as the client asks.
  2. And the problem with that is, some tree officers use it as an invite to view the tree with regard to an order where none previously existed, effectively making the entire authority into a conservation area. Recording the conversation is as simple as recording. Most phones do that these days.
  3. Well said that man.
  4. stillage | eBay
  5. None of them have a magic eye, that would be an optical sensor, what they have is a magnetic proximity sensor and in answer, if the system takes its input from the alternator then no, no "magic eye"
  6. I always thought of a topper as a pasture topper, now that would do a job on a tree but it wouldn't half pull on your harness
  7. Fixed that for ya:laugh1:
  8. I do a bit of climbing for him I will PM you his mobile
  9. That's what I did, moding it would certainly void the warranty.
  10. To be honest I don't rightly know what's happened internally, its got a new exhaust outlet and I think he has fitted some kind of "mega awesomeness" component somewhere. He is on here, speak to him.
  11. Its a good idea but you would need to cover the MAC Alister name or they will just laugh at it
  12. Just like to say a big thanks to Petemate for porting my 390XP The power upgrade is amazing, it now pulls a 36" bar like it used to pull a 24" With the 24" its a screaming madman, in the nicest possible way, its a "tad" louder than before and its developed a better liking for fuel but that's only to be expected Best £120 I have spent in a long time.
  13. HA ha I was thinking just that. I have heard the term a few times but never from anyone I particularly wanted to work with.
  14. If its anything like as good as the MAC Aister battery drill its well worth..................AVOIDING
  15. I think the point was that 8:30 is half way through the morning rather than a start time. Its grim up North:laugh1:
  16. Its a microwave transmitter, I don't know how bad it can be, its not like you see microwaved birds dropping out of the sky around the masts but if they see fit to put a warning there.......
  17. Then you say to ebay here is a copy of the POD now hand my cash back or court action follows
  18. Cool, its December, bleeding freezing mate:laugh1:
  19. Only if you are fool enough to let them leave without signing for the item
  20. The part I disliked the most was the warning sticker with dire consequences of getting in front of the microwave dish.
  21. I did a fair bit of work for a network that makes much use of line of sight dishes They did a fair bit of lopping and removal but it was all done by negotiation.
  22. They both use Kubota engines. Depending on model the starter could be compatible
  23. You malign the industry, the bloke cold be on the way to his first job:laugh1::laugh1:
  24. This is another suspicious looking ebay listing Follows the format of other recent dodgy looking listings My apologies to the seller if this is genuine unimog tree surgeon army show room condition | eBay
  25. You come across like a proper conspiracy theorist. If the recording leads to people paying tax surely its just the tax that's due and not "more tax". My local scrap yard runs a register of recorded ID's so you don't have to dig it out and get it copied each time and its nothing to do with VAT registration.
