  1. Get some PL insurance, if something goes wrong and you don't have the insurance "they" will come after everything you own If anyone helps you, you must have EL insurance in case anything happens to them. If it goes wrong and you don't have the insurance "they" will come after everything you own and the HSE will lock you up and throw the key down Chubby Brown's skivies:laugh1:
  2. I was a bit concerned by this because I re use bottles and freeze them in the summer. It seems to be nothing more than an urban myth and if anything, freezing the plastic less likely to cause harm Cancer research UK is probably the most unbiased authority you could want and they say this Is there any truth in the claims? There is no convincing scientific evidence to substantiate these health warnings against plastics. In the UK, there is legislation in place to ensure that all materials that come into contact with food, such as containers for pre-packed food, are thoroughly tested before they can be used.
  3. Anyone got a link to this killer water bottle research, I am getting a bit worried.
  4. Have a look at his recent sales. He claims this one was his dads and he died before using it. Same patter as the one he sold in December How many 660's did his dad have?
  5. I blame the problem of crud in the eyes on the clean air act. Trees, Sycamore in particular never had that nasty algae, when its wet its like grease and when its dry it powders up and turns into grinding paste in your eyeball. Never used to get it back in the day, bring back the sulphur I say:001_rolleyes:
  6. Well if they will insist on putting their towels out:001_rolleyes:
  7. That is a PTO one, it wouldn't take much to shaft drive that, question is would it be cheaper and less hassle to buy a ready made one.
  8. Yes but if you have a front PTO why not just put a regular chipper direct to that? If you do go with the pump idea you will need a decent sized pump, by the time you have spent money on that you would probably be better fitting a regular PTO set up.
  9. :laugh1::laugh1:
  10. Why not go old school and demonstrate the application of a dead blow hammer? You can do that yourself.
  11. Well they do seem to be getting kitted out for the job
  12. I think he got himself banned edit Yup just checked, he is banned
  13. Is it worth crane feeding such a weedy chipper?
  14. Isn't 6 inch a bit small for crane feed?
  15. The technology was there already Its the kind of thing they use in the films for stunt men to fall on
  16. 811 is the "light" end of the power units, if you are dragging a chipper go for a 14 or a 17 if you can find one
  17. Certainly looks like a conversion. I used a converted on once, cumbersome to say the least This particular example isn't HSE compliant and that in feed control looks like its going to get a false trip every second branch
  18. Surely its speed of operation is down to the ground crew not the climber?
  19. Bouncy castle anyone?
  20. I bet that makes your head spin:laugh1:
  21. That cure bent con rods does it?
  22. Nice work, you are going to need a bigger trailer though...............
  23. I helped out with a pole barn and rather than have the timber in contact with the ground we went with a steel cross shape concreted in and then set into a slot in the beam. We took a 3 foot length of 10 inch wide 3/8 plate and welded 2 pieces to form a cross about 10 inches from the top for the bottom of the pole to sit on. The cross was let into the pole by cutting a slot and secured by bolting through it. The steels were galvanised so should last indefinitely.
  24. Bad new travels real quick http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/67678-had-post.html
