  1. Had the same problem with a 15 plate , cause was water ingress into a multi plug up the passenger side of the gearbox , good clean and it’s been fine since .
  2. We had a husky 365 in the yard for years ( bulletproof ) until it got stolen .
  3. Nightmare , loads of vans cruising the countryside round here ?
  4. Sorry to hear this . Gumtree or FB Marketplace is with a look , apparently loads of nicked stuff ends up on there ?
  5. I paint mine with stuff called Rust Bullet ( Black Shell ), best I’ve ever used by far . Then a heavy coat of waxoyl on top and inside . My Land Cruiser lasted 20 years and still looked mint when I sold it .
  6. Last ones I got from eBay were like that , I was a bit dubious but they worked .
  7. Each to their own , it’s just the way I work ?
  8. Some beech I’ve been meaning to do for a while , has to be raining needless to say.
  9. I had the first Harkie smock , it was really warm and clammy for heavy work , was pretty rain proof though . Got the Sip jacket a couple of years ago and much prefer it . Have never tried the newer Harkie it may be better .
  10. This is about as busy as the old boy gets these days , occasionally comes to work if he’s in the mood .
  11. Brilliant Paul , bin watching him and Reg for a few years now , great stuff ?

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
