  1. I've never found mewps that quick for crown lifts unless the trees are tall and skinny you'll spend a lot of time setting it up and not a lot of time cutting, don't fancy having your back after a few day with a pole pruner either........
  2. Ladder up tree high anchor point, groundy moves ladder to next tree you come down do the lift, jump up next tree and repeat. IMHO much faster and better quality than a polesaw, easier to!!!
  3. Right it's been long enough now and everybody's been so nice so I'm gona say it. Rick ya muppet ya need to pop the rope through both the shiny things:001_tt2: Get well soon Bud
  4. They had me a couple of times!!! Eye candy wasn't just on the stands either:thumbup:
  5. They had me a couple of times!!! Eye candy wasn't just on the stands either:thumbup:
  6. I hear worcester travelodge is the place to be tomorrow night?
  7. Just your type then mate Better give them a call before he steps on your toes with her:sneaky2:
  8. It's the weight of the trailer when put on the weighbridge that counts, doesn't matter what it says on the plate or is capable of carrying what matters is when it's put on the big scales. There is a link on here somewhere to the relevant legislation that vosa published stating this. R
  9. I work on £15/hr for pedestrian mowing. But normally price per job. If you can get more then good luck to you. Market conditions round here won't sustain it. Yes £15/hr will not make you rich but it will give you a steady income. I normally work on £25/hr for the ride on, not got much work for it at the moment though, when you look at what people are charging for 50k's worth of tractor it's then I can't understand how they are even paying for the machine. R
  10. Roundup is glyphosphate based as far as I'm aware???????????????
  11. ukminch

    transit mpg

Only get low 20's out of both my transits
  12. Fair does, I won't derail the thread further with the 200/201 debate:thumbup1:
  13. Just out of interest was the warrantee work anything to do with the re-tuning? IMO the one I've been using is rubbish but I'd be prepared to accept that now it's run in a re-tune could make the difference.
  14. It's amazing how the answer has to be coaxed out, surely how do I fix a bleed screw on a transit fuel pump as the thread is knackered in the pump would have been a better question..... A thread sealant could well be your answer R
  15. A mate of mine sold a motor bike on ebay. The buyer was in cypress and he sent a shipping agent to pick it up, but the agent turned up with cash, my mate still wasn't convinced so went to the bank with the cash to check it was real. It all sounded like a scam but it turned out fine. The bloke from the shipping company said this chap buys about 10 bikes a week and he picks them up and everyone is suspicious as it just doesn't seem to add up. Was positive in this case, although I've had bad cases (took someone to court, but did win the case) I agree that communication seems to be the problem. I think I'd have tried to email him, explain why you don't trust paypal ask him to accept the refund and do a bacs or find some other way of getting cash to you. I can see both sides. R
  16. I'd have thought you would be better with a drill rather than an impact driver, as you want to 'drill' it not 'impact' it in, impact drivers are brilliant for doing/undoing bolts and fixing screws but I can't help but think they wouldn't be good for this purpose, mind you I've never used one for drilling so don't know
  17. Bumping this up, only had one reply to this, could possibly suit a crew thats quiet at the moment? Rob
  18. Need 1 climber and groundsman with cscs cards for a day in Luton, wednesday, thurs or friday this week. For further details pm me on here or email [email protected] Regards Rob
  19. Axle weights is definitely the main factor, I'm not gona say what it weighed in at the other day but it was scary!!! The other factor is tool storage. I've got one on lease that does grounds maintenance contracts and the guy has built shelving etc in the back of it. Had a problem with the door lock and the whole lot had to come out..... Much better to have purpose built locker and keep all the fuel and oil smells out the cab. Unless you need to carry people I really don't rate them. R
  20. I've got two crewcabs but would definitely go single cab and tool locker if/when I change either of them. R
  21. Kohler command 25hp engine with what looks with a tape measure to be a 36mil shaft. I'll be completely honest with you I brought it with the intention of rebuilding it and fitting it to one of my chippers, but I've upgraded long ago. It does run, but was pouring out black smoke. One of the exhaust studs has snapped off apart from that it should be ok. Shame your not closer really as it's a long way away to take a punt on. R
  22. I may have one, I'll have a look tomorrow. Will need a rebuild tho. R
  23. Unfortunately John Campbell passed away a couple of months ago. RIP Have you taken on his yard by the post office/old diary? R
