  1. I'm gona stand up for the teacher here, If no jewellery is school rules then it shouldn't be allowed. Now I fully support the cause but equally you wouldn't be allowed to wear a band in uniform on parade so I can't really see the difference. Surely the whole respect thing works both ways, the rules are there to be respected, breaking them is a disrespectful which is where a lot of problems stem from in society, that people do not respect others. R
  2. If you take a bigger category it covers you for smaller vehicles. I.E Category C (rigid)will cover you for C1(7.5t) C+E Will cover you for everything lorry wise and car/van wise as they automatically give you B+E and C1+E with it R
  3. One I use regularly. £10 a transit load normally although it can change. Foxhill Timber Recycling Station Foxhill Farm Foxhill Lane Halewood Liverpool L26 4XG Telephone: 07753859952
  4. Probably because it's steve site and what he says goes, oh and we all know it's a legal minefield tipping at unlicenced sites so why would he want the headaches....... We can always post asking if anybody knows a tip site if we need one, but a list of proper legit ones could come in very handy everyso often
  5. Its been removed because I brought it, i got it for £1500 just had to transfer the money to an offshore account, to avoid tax and it will be couriered to me tomorrow:lol::lol:
  6. If it's genuine andy I'll have it!!! Lets see how it develops
  7. Thats what I thought but hes asking to deal outside of ebay, could be a hacked account using a blag email, or could just be a cheap chipper for someone!
  8. Jensen 530T Woodchipper | eBay To cheap for my liking and doesn't add up in my head?
  9. I don't believe you, I'm sure I've got evidence of you doing coronet cuts on my school job!!! :-)
  10. Cheers thats what I thought just trying to work out the size of tank I need, or more importantly don't need.
  11. Is there a problem with having to bigger tank? Theres a 100l one on ebay going cheap near to me at the moment.......
  12. Just brought a hydraulic logsplitter of a fellow arbtalk member. It runs a treat of my compact tractor but obviously takes up a fair amount of space and isn't really at the right height. The guy I brought it off had it on a power pack. I have a small diesel engine with a hydraulic pump that I was planning to use. I presume all I need to do is to fit a hydraulic tank in the system somewhere and away I go. What size would this tank need to be? Or anybody got anything suitable lying about they want to sell? Or am I completely incorrect in the above setup assumptions? R
  13. It would be the contractor in the first place, then their insurance company could chase the free lance climber if they thought they had a case to recoup their costs. My status is if someone is directly working for me however employed for tax reasons my insurance covers them and the same the other way round. Unless it's a bona fide subbie job, ie my truck, my chipper, my crew, or their gear if I've subbed it to them R
  14. :congrats: Incidentally soon as we've derailed. Someone explained it to me that you would need EL to employ a subbie climber but then if they broke something you could use there public liability providing that was all agreed upon in advance. It is black and white in my mind but it's amazing how you can mix the colours to make it grey if you want!!
  15. I'd simply send a letter back stating that they have been informed that the tree has major defects and that they are refusing to allow it to be felled, inspite of the defects that are present, meaning they MUST take responsibility as they are not allowing the tree owner to take reasonable care of the tree. Or alternatively send a 5 day notice in and then someone would probably have a look at the tree and agree to fell it........... R
  16. Theres a load of elm got to go in the IOM this summer. R
  17. I'd be very surprised if the council rejected an application to fell that tree. Not saying that is the solution here but with the current climate I can't see them risking an application as they then have a liability towards any damaged caused by it failing if they refuse. But I've been wrong a couple of times this year.............
  18. This isn#t for a certain little job between june and september is it??
  19. Cheers Rob, I'm not sure about postcrete I like it for it's ease of use but I've heard some stories about it to!! This will be proper concrete!! As for CSCS cards I don't work on construction sites, either before or after the construction has started or finished. Think I will end up getting them though along with a couple of other tickets and cards I probably ought to have thinking long term. R
  20. Cheers that works out only a bit more expensive per m that the other options. Do you use 25mm by 150mm by 1800 boards?
  21. Vertical boards, yep 1.8m give or take a bit...........
  22. Being a bit cheeky as per normal. Just preparing a quote for a fence giving several options> Because of the length (50m) ish and the position I am suggesting hit and miss fencing (150mm boards with 100mm gap for privacy) I've not one of these where I've supplied the materials. Anybody got a price per m or suggestions as to a supplier in Chester area. I've worked out that the closeboard option and the concrete post/gravel board and weather board panel option come in at about the same price at £1950+VAT including removal of the old knackered fence and some minor (30mins) crownlifting adjacent trees) but would prefer the hit and miss so some wind could pass through. Cheers in advance Rob
  23. Try lumberjack pad on here to he's a good lad. R
