  1. I also find they are quite rude when you say you aren't interested in advertising because they can't believe you don't want to help out poorly children, or help the fire brigade etc etc.
  2. Sorry it's the 2000 floating.
  3. Exactly. Just been rubbed gently, that's all!
  4. Mines not hammered in the slightest. Shines where it's been used but never had a hammering.
  5. I've got a 2001 that I don't use any more and would sell.
  6. Yep. We are normally pretty careful about crap going in the chipper to save the blades but when one of the lads started shovelling it in I had to just let it happen. Chipper tracked up on a log to get the angle of the hopper up to stop as much sliding out. Awful!
  7. A lovely dead Sycamore from a few days ago. I don't like mewps so felt much safer climbing this. 😃👍🏻 Chipping dead wood. Such fun! 😡
  8. I discussed cougar blue and orange with nod the other day. He didn't know of any differences between them (other than colour obviously) but I'm sure I read on here somewhere that one was better than the other. Anyone recall it or know what it was about? I just got some of each but haven't tried it out yet. Was going to save it for my new Akimbo but I'm being impatient and getting a BDB before that arrives so will try it on that first.
  9. Unfortunately, sold to someone else. I replied within about 10 minutes I think but apparently someone else messaged the evening before 🤔🙄
  10. I hope so. Sick of waiting for the akimbo and I've got some new cougar waiting. Been wanting a bdb for a while but was trying to time it with relatives arriving from USA but just didn't happen.
  11. Il have that off you. Do I have to buy from preloved website or can we just exchange details/payment etc. I've never used preloved so I've no idea how it works or registered etc.
  12. Nah, popular is a different species altogether. 👍😉
  13. It is insured though. Of some kind anyway.
  14. Is it the first time you've used it wet. It will be different to dry. Just about everything is.
  15. I've got a strimmer (fs50) or something, that I can't get the cap on. - without pliers! I physically can't twist it tight enough to get the little triangle to line up with the triangle gap so when I push the black flip handle thing, it just levers the whole cap off and leaves a gap. I got peed off with it and just twisted it on further with pliers and it's fine. Clearly not right and probably a faulty tank but I'm not buying another one.
  16. Mine was from a dealer online. Unfortunately not my local who only does stihl. Worked for about a few months fine, but then just went downhill and I moaned about it being rubbish to start and run. My stupid fault for not checking but it stayed like this for about a year or so, always taking the stihls rather than 540. The washer on the spark plug was still concave shaped and hadn't been squashed at all so it had not been tightened from day 1. Anyway, hope you are happy with it now. Made mine like a new saw and I use it every time now. It's still plasticky and weak so need to be careful but it's running well. Edit: having just read that again, I realise yes, tool shop, not husky dealer. Big difference, but I would still expect them to do a basic once over. I won't buy online again if that's what to expect!
  17. I'll just add, I didn't buy from Jones so not intending to bad mouth them as the dealer.
  18. Make sure the spark plug is in properly. I recently nearly sent mine off to Jones for a service but just checked the spark plug before it was sent. It was loose. BUT, it had obviously never been screwed in tight from day 1. It ran ok for a while but then just got worse. Now it's spot on. Like a new saw. If it's not that, then I can't help but hopefully a service would sort it.
  19. That's a very reassuring statement and I'm looking forward to mine ... Ever so patiently!! 😄
  20. I have a set of 3 Sena 20s if anyone is interested before I put them on eBay and/or arbtrader
  21. Yes it is a squire. I forgot to mention that, in case they are different but I thought the shape was the same.
  22. I got one of these for my daughter for rock climbing. Seems quite good. https://www.absolute-snow.co.uk/V/Climbing_Technology_Jungle_Kids_Full_Body_Harness_40kg_GreenOrange-(91586)?Curr=GBP/?keyword=&gclid=CNONnJeTt8wCFUg8Gwode3sD6g
  23. Thickness I would say is 44mm
  24. I got a big one a few weeks back worthy of a photo too.
