  1. Oh yes. And it's paying off nicely. 😀
  2. I've not had a chance to try one on yet so my only worry about getting one online... Does it stick out too much at the back and make it look like a bell end like the old cycling helmets did. Petal vertex and the similar are all ok nowadays.
  3. Don't be afraid to offer your opinion too. There is often a better way but if you don't speak up, you'll never find out. The boss may not agree... But don't stop that from you offering an opinion on another scenario. It all helps for everyone to learn. Common sense prevails!! 😀
  4. once had pied wagtails nest in a space between cab and tipper on my old cabstar. Unfortunately only noticed it after we had been out all day in the truck so by the time we got back the eggs were stone cold.
  5. We've got one on the nest at the moment in a stable. I'm in and out all the time and make plenty of noise but she's staying put. She was out this aft when I went in so I had a quick peek and there are three eggs in there. A few mins later she was back. If it is a second clutch, would they make a new nest or use the old one.
  6. Why is the iveco not the perfect vehicle though. Or as close to as you can get. What can't it do that a transit or similar can do. Is it too big for everyday stuff. I really wish this had been about 6 months ago when I had to get a new truck due to the other one being written off.
  7. I found that the inners/foam sticks out a bit too much because of all the coms stuff and just needs pressing in to your ears a bit more. Bending the wire helped but they are pretty warm to wear. Maybe there is more space in the sordid ones and could be cooler.
  8. Have you tried just bending the wire near to the helmet attachment so that it's a tighter fit. That's what I did with mine and it seemed to be fine afterwards.
  9. Is it ok to wear chainsaw shorts with those boots. Summer option. 😎
  10. Ha ha. There you go. Problem solved and saved you the cost of a new rope. 😆
  11. I think a clove hitch around a can of Stella 6'' of the ground might be the best option.
  12. Getting older. Might have to be a raptor eventually😜
  13. I just sat my rope bag with the rest of the rope in it on top of the rope. My pantin needed a bit of weight in the rope but the haas was fine. Seemed to work ok.
  14. I need to sort out a well fitting chest harness with the brass sling attached nicely. I don't like the crab being there. I can imagine a slip might result in a broken rub or two.
  15. And maybe get a set of locking nuts. Maybe two sets. It seems to me someone's tried to have them but got disturbed. Have you checked the rears??
  16. The loop is quite tight (well made👍) so might stay put anyway.
  17. If the elastic is tied short, close up to the blue rope of the haas, then it seems fine and 'a full stride'. I have only had two climbs since I got it on Wednesday so it is far from perfected. There is plenty of room for tweaking. And as you can see in the pic. The elastic can come under the bridge and up yo a higher point if needed. I'd definitely say go for it.
  18. Right. Hopefully you can excuse the white legs. Chainsaw flip flops are always added to the risk assessment. The pics are as clear as I could get with all the gear in one go. And I nearly forgot the pic of the loops.
  19. Yes I will try to do some later. Didn't have my phone on me earlier.
  20. And thanks to Gerbut. The loops arrived and the small one is perfect😊
  21. I think if you try it tied short and close up to the end of the elastic it would be fine clipped to the harness attachment. I've just tried mine again and it was great. 👍👍
  22. I've got mine on a HH and just clipped using a normal size crab to the green attachment ring on harness. I had the elastic tied short right up to the ascender and I worked fine. Still needs refining but I'm sure it would be fine for spider jack too
  23. Thanks very much. Looking forward to another climb. The haas worked very well and with a bit of a further tweek I think I've got my perfect set up now. Loops will finish it of nicely cheers. 😊
