  1. Plus, the SJ cams are Ali/alloy arent they. ZZ being steel will surely last longer

  3. I've just done two wet days on 11mm and its perfect. Didn't really like the spiderjack or lockjack in the wet. I'm really impressed with the ZZ.
  4. You can port my 201 if you want. I'm not unhappy with it any more. I was, but it got sorted. But I'd be interested on how much it had in it. Nothing to lose really. Just buy another 201 or use the old 200

    Topping

Ha ha. Well explained. Not that we would ever use a saw one handed here in 'hse.ngland'!!
  6. Let the bidding commence...
  7. Ditto As far as I was told, about twenty yrs ago, once the tree is infected it chucks out phenols which is an attempt to block off any infection. In effect it chokes itself. I seem to recall being told that due to the speed of the phloem, any infection takes about 8 minutes to get to the top!! I wouldn't worry about timing to be honest. An elm is gonna throw out shoots at every pruning cut. Just keep it as minimal as possible but enough for it to be worth doing.
  8. I had mine sorted under warranty when it was over a year old. They know which serial numbers were the dodgy ones. It's a lot better now its done. But, it is still a little sluggish from start if its not nice and warm. But I think better and more efficient than a 200. They can't help it being sluggish really. They've had to sort emissions out and this must be the result. It will be interesting if Husky can overcome it, although by now they are probably redesigning it to cope with 2020 emission laws!!! I just keep my saw on tick over most of the time and it works sweet. Always choose 201 over the 200.
  9. Have you seen this? http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=801761#post801761 I could be tempted to join you if you fancy
  10. I bought my arborcoms about 3 yrs ago. After a couple of months had endless problems similar to yours. They must have been sent back to uk supplier about 5 times. Each time they came back they conked out within the first days use and sent back again. In the end they were sent back to Norway I think to be rebuilt with new circuit boards which took about 3-6 months, can't remember. They still didn't fix them. I was then told by supplier that they would give me a new pair. But instead I wanted to maybe offset them against a set of the three way expensive ones. Problem is, they do not mount onto a helmet..... Yet. They recon they are working on it so I keep waiting. So far, in three years or so I have used my coms for about a few months. Not good value so far!!
  11. I've just read the PDF from petzl, have you seen it. It shows descending SRT but with the tail through a Munter hitch/ krab off your side D for the extra friction. Just ordered mine so will be trying soon hopefully.
  12. Bookmarked too. But where is the URL to copy and paste when on mobile? I know I must be being daft. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Give it a bit of slik dik and it should be fine hopefully. (If there isn't an actual problem with it) So so glad to hear that velocity works well. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. As mentioned before, tree surgeons yards must be full of little grubs and things. I let my hens out and they do make a beeline for the old chip and log pile for a good scratch around. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Ah yes of course. Thanks!! Doh! Maybe the sewn loop and krab is the other option but as you've already said it was fine with a knot. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. I wondered whether to just scrap the krab and tie fishermans straight onto the ZZ. I haven't got one yet so can't test but doesn't look like it would be able to move close enough to the zz's to interfere. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. I've been hoping someone would try using velocity because zigzag info says its 11.5mm-13mm so thought I might have to get a new rope but I don't need to yet hopefully. Cheers. Just what I wanted to hear. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Big shot it across a field and take the bag off, give a few pulls and flicks and then put back in the cube. It should be better but it does drive me a bit mad at times too. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. If you have a few bottles in the house, it makes it more difficult for them to spot how quickly they are getting consumed too... Not that I have that problem but...
  20. Dean. Wetting your tongue. You are supposed to drink it, not lick it! I'm off to pour myself one now.
  21. I think it's the first time I've seen a reduction look better than the original tree. Sent from device_name using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. You could make that bottle last a fair while then I bet. (Even top it up with some Bells when she's not looking)
