    I did try it today attached to the ring which HH is clipped to. I had to tie it pretty much all the way up to the end of the elastic. It did work but does need refining. Maybe attaching to the Lyon sling will be better. I tried the sling today and that worked well too. I was really impressed and really enjoyed the climb.

    I seem to remember I think mine came with about 8' of 10mm beeline and that fills it. I could be wrong though. It doesn't sound like that much when I think about it. I have just taken mine off last night.

    That's very kind of you, I'm in holmfirth. How and what have you made it from. Do you have any pictures of it. There's lots of bits of stuff laying around that I can make one from. As far as I remember, one of the best and most simple one I've seen was just high tensile wire bent around the carabiner. The main thing I'm not sure about is how to attach the HAAS as well because on the video he just clips to the spare hole in the Hitch Climber. If I attach the HAAS to the same loop as the lanyard over shoulder, they are both pulling opposite direction. Not sure if that really matters.

    I have tried but only very briefly. I really only tried lanyard over shoulder when I first tried SRT on a wrench but I didnt get on with it. But since trying the HItch Hiker I havent really used DDRT (except for a few small decents using the HH) I really need my set up to have a loop for attaching the lanyard over shoulder or Lyon sling etc. Again, Ive got a small cord loop fishermanned on to the crab but its a bit crap and was only a temp thing. I now just dont use one. But it would obviously be better to sort it out and get used to using something. Ive looked at plenty of pics here but going back through it all takes ages. Any new pics of a system, especially including the HAAS would be great:thumbup:

    I've just received my HAAS today but didn't have enough time to set up for tomorrow. I had a little play but ran out of time and the way I was trying wasn't right. The videos show the set up using a hitch climber and/or rope wrench for SRT or DDRT. Has anybody got a picture of the set up with a Hitch Hiker. I never really use lanyard over shoulder and just hoik it up as I go along cos I don't often do big ascents in one go. But I would like to make more effort 😄

    Thanks for the link. That's just what I was hoping but was told yesterday that they won't last long if I tip them. I just need to sort some forks out for the old David Brown and we are good. I see you put chicken wire inside the cage too. I was hoping it wouldn't be needed but I suppose the logs will tip out easier with it.

    How are you unloading the logs out of the IBC cages. How well do the IBC's last?

    And the hitch hiker... Can be installed midline and be used ddrt or SRT.

    Bob, I think the wooden pens that have very kindly been carefully turned and given as a gift are without a doubt the best. Still going strong.

    I was just about to ask about rope diameter too. The old one was 11.5 -13mm but i found 11mm velocity was great. I think the new ZZ is the same at 11.5 - 13 but I cant find any figures for the zillion. It would be interesting if it would work well with the 10mm Bee line with a sidewinder. I also noticed in one of the pdf that it could be used single line with an added friction 'thing' included although it does say better to be doubled.

    I have about 90-100 that I'm not using anymore. Depends where you are though cos delivery might be a pain.

    Painkillers. They are great when they are needed and are in the correct dosage. I fool myself thinking that the small dose that we 'should' be taking might make me feel better but I think It is more like a placebo in reality. All of my aches and pains , injuries etc have usually got a physical reason why I feel pain. So I think a trip to a physio can really surprise you. I really wish I could be arsed to organise it but a trip to the physio every month would be a good start.

    It depends on the colour of the seatbelts and also interior. I think it would be deemed unfair just based on the colour of the outside.

    Dean, my neighbour was once quoted £28k to have gas run up the road and along the lane to him. He basically said balls to that and they more or less just said oh ok 2.8k then. So don't just believe the first price offered!!

    I've glanced at the links earlier but it didn't show any details. When I tried (years ago) to put 4x4 type tyres on my cabstar, I used some Camac 4x4. Then when it came to MOT time I was told they were not legal on that vehicle cos they needed to b 8 ply and most 4x4 are 6 ply apparently. The rated loads per tyre were actually higher on the 4x4 tyre than the 8ply one but.... Anyway, just check what they are legal with. Hope that made sense cos I've had a few wines :-))

    Haha. Looking at a job the other morning and we saw a middle aged chap driving a jag with reg plate... BE11END Can't believe he bought that!! Maybe it just happened but I certainly wouldn't buy it. In fact if I got it I'd buy something else to replace it!!

    I always remember from when I started and learning about the basics of common law, the statement 'Leaves are like cats and are free to go wherever the wind may blow them'. Once they have landed in the neighbours land they are his property and his problem. Throwing them back over is fly tipping.... But as above, who's going to do anything!

    That's the kind of scenario I had in mind. Maybe two trips, one with a tipper trailer full of chip, another run for the logs. But then a tipper trailer would be able to do both.
