  1. Yes, it's funny how the mention of cctv makes the parcel suddenly appear where you would have never thought of looking. And a card, which should have been put in the letterbox is found randomly in the garden.
  2. You can do the top rollers by just unbolting and lifting out to grind each blade, just a tickle not loads. The bottom ones would have to come out but it's the top ones that make a big difference. If you could be bothered, you could reach in with a dremmel to do the bottom but it would be slow! The anvil on mine is reversible but yours may have already been turned. And definitely get a 2nd or even 3rd set of blades and have them sharpened at a proper place.
  3. I've just had a grinder onto my in feed rollers and it's made a HUGE difference. They need to be fairly sharp to be good.
  4. Looks like a good route for on the bike too or is it footpath only.
  5. Maybe just sharpening the chain again (properly, if it was a bit off on one side) and seeing how it is. Then if it is the chain, offer a new one out of courtesy.
  6. Ok cheers. Not sure about forum rules but also out of fairness to the OP I think they should get first refusal. Only trying to be fair and only want a fair deal. Hope that's ok Sorry forgot to add: I'm not sure, I think it's a swivel.

  8. ART Lockjack, spiderjack and positioner. 2x petzl sequoia. And a stein 2000 lowering thingy. There's a few other things that I don't use anymore.
  9. I didn't know the Oregon fillers fitted onto the stihl. 👍 Cheers. I'll try them first maybe
  10. Exactly. Same here. I'm trying a husky. 👍🏻 Although, I'm more a stihl fan. I won't be buying another 540. I'll try the new 201 before that. But I do need to fill the 540 and the stihl oil spout is getting on my nerves.
  11. We just chuck a bit of fuel in there to thin it out. Works ok. It's nice to hear it glug out straight away.
  12. I've got the stihl can and the oil filler doesn't really want to go in the husky 540 oil hole. So I would say the stihl would be a bigger nozzle. Think I'll try a husky next. I'm sick of the stihl oil spouts falling apart.
  13. I find nowadays that I can't see any benefits of ddrt. I try it occasionally for a small thing that I can't be bothered to set up a retrievable SRT and then hate it immediately and just clip my Krab onto the rope and pull it up and tight and carry on SRT. I'd rather go back up to get my rope than carry on DDRT. It's then worth doing a descent DDRT just so it's quick to retrieve. I think you'll get to grips with it soon. It suddenly clicks, especially if you have a go every day. You'll know when it clicks. And it'll get even better after that as you perfect and refine your style. Definitely no going back to it as a full time system. It wouldn't make sense to me..
  14. I agree with the Volcano, but I've been using Sirius recently too. Really like that, 1m does a nice tight HH 5 wrap hitch. Works well.
  15. If you don't already have to, I dare you to watch noddy or Thomas the tank engine, or something similar, whilst making your sandwiches in the morning. 5 days a week! 😡 I'm so glad my little one's a bit bigger now. Although I've had mako mermaids off Netflix doing the rounds all week. Doing silky work, dead wooding and thinning is when it's the worst. But great when you have a good tune. 😃
  16. I have been thinking something similar. Is it possible already? I don't know, I use the app all the time. But, is it possible to just see the photos from a particular thread, so that you can just flick through to find the one you are looking for
  17. By the time you pack all your gear up and leave the site reasonably tidy, for all three to take him home there could have been a taxi waiting for the chap 'needing' to leave. He can get himself home just as swiftly. I don't see a problem with that. If it's not possible, then it's unfortunate that a real emergency has to be dealt with. And then he can try to work extra hard for a while to help pay back a bit. Fair enough.
  18. Where are you. If you are local to have a go on different devices then that helps
  19. How many times have you told the new guys about our terrible workplace situations. 👍😀 Seriously, I can't be arsed with a zig zag anymore. I'm SRT and once in a hundred might double rope out of the tree. I think the Zig Zag is great. I doubt the 3 is any better than the 1 but I haven't used it so happy to be proved wrong. It's a great device, but not for me anymore. But, I don't want to confuse issues. 😊
  20. It's good to show the loler inspector that your carabiners work perfectly well.... Thank you very much. 🤔
  21. I do agree. I'm on a hitch hiker and hopefully soon the akimbo. The zig zag is quite expensive for a one off hit. Most climbers have 2 carabiners. But, someone mentioned a hitch climber. (£40??) I don't know. The hitch cord might not be long enough for a VT so that's another £5?? And I wouldn't want to use that carabiner x2, so that's another £28-30 I don't intend to sound like I'm being a nuisance. I just think that the tackle is there to be used. Edit: I did have the original zig zag and loved it until it was recalled. Not longer after went SRT and that was that.
  22. If you are unsure about micro pulley, hitches and hitch cord etc etc. Why not just get a zig zag? They do what you are asking for really really well. Smoothly.
  23. Have you got the heavy end of the grinder at the front there? Any chance of a few kilo spread to the back. + a few bags to help 👍😀
