  1. Used it on a big oak today using cougar blue. It was brilliant. Better than the orange. And because it was big and needing several different TIP's, I used DDRT just as much as SRT and it worked really well for both. It's definitely brilliant!! 🙂
  2. I've had the same thing using orange cougar. I'm sure mines on the most open setting on the bottom. I thought it might be the opposite, to tighten the bottom one to take pressure off the top one. I haven't really had enough time on it yet to find the best combination of what I've got. It's still good fun trying though.
  3. Have a look on eBay. I got a wireless remote, 2 remotes and the kit to wire it all up. Works really well. It's also got a split charging system on it which helps. I would recommend switching off the isolator switch each time though. The remote system does draw a little bit of current all the time otherwise.
  4. Do you do any stretching exercise. I know it seems daft because as a climber we generally stretch all over the place. But I had problems a few years ago after an RTA and ended up having physio. It never seemed to go away. But I started doing some really good stretching. Hot bath, nice and supple and then laid out on the bedroom floor, legs over your head and get your toes on the floor over your head. Or as close as you can get. Then slowly lowering your legs down to the ground again. Steadying yourself with your arms. You can feel your spine laying out nicely. And then repeat. You'll get your toes and legs out straight(er) in a few goes. It sounds weird and depending on family situation it might be better in private. 😜 But it worked and still does for me. It becomes a weekly, sometimes daily exercise. But it feels so much better. Edit: I use a treemotion. Have done since they came out. Will prob get another next time round too.
  5. Sea sickness from tree work. It's nice to get down!
  6. I use orange a lot on my bulldog bone and it's great. I got a longer piece of blue at the same time but it doesn't grip. I tried putting the larger cam on and it was great. And the orange was still fine. I also used blue tongue shortly after but had to go back to the smaller cam which worked fine. But then the next time I used the cougar blue it wasn't gripping even though I had the large cam on. When we measured the diameter of the two cougar orange and blue, surprisingly the blue was wider but yet still didn't grip. (Even though they are supposed to be same diameter) Can't explain why but would love to know if anyone else has experienced a difference in the two colours.
  7. Can't be sure about attachment compatabilty etc but maybe check out dogcamsport.com They have a closing down sale on at the moment.
  8. I was just wondering if you still wanted to buy the sena's but obviously not. Did you get new ones? Is there a new model out? P.s. I've still got a set of 3 SENA 20s for sale if anyone is interested.
  9. Just tell them the truth... You can't afford it and give em Kev's number 😊
  10. 👍🏻👍🏻 I like the advice. Cheers
  11. I've got an 066 that has been running a 36'' bar for 18 years now. Never misses a beat. I think it's been wonderful. Definitely earned its money. But I don't fancy buying a replacement for it... One day.

    Tidal.

Would the cost of the maintenance of salt corrosion for big plants out way the cost of all the subsidies for having lots of free solar panels all over the place. I've no idea. Would it even scratch the surface?
  13. Isn't this covered by the warranty? A piece shearing off doesn't normally happen through bad wear and tear, never mind normal use! I'm curious because I've recently been hearing great things about the after sales service but would be pretty upset if that happened to a newish chipper. (Newish??- Jensen...5yr old - no problems!!!) 8-9 yrs later, a few wear and tear issues but not something that could have almost written off the machine. Hope it's just a wiring issue and it all gets sorted but hope you can stop it from happening again in a more catastrophic way!!
  14. And if not, just tie it to your line and pull it up. Always quicker to try to zip it up first though if the groundy gets used to it. 👍🙂
  15. Yes I realise that. I just wanted to try to refresh or be sure about a few things you might occasionally try to use as example of stuff to customers who have no clue whatsoever, like 'I just cut it off and throw it back over because that's what I'm allowed to do' or 'it's his hedge so he has to trim my side'. 🙄
  16. Mmm.. Can I have a read sometime please. We can work out the long words between us... Eventually.
  17. http://www.brownsladders.co.uk They really should put an advert on this site. Cheapest I found. I got the 12' ers and they've been great.
  18. Was it Jersey where they have black squirrels too? I was there about 28 yrs ago I think. Seem to remember black but it might have been red.
  19. I've just googled Llangernyw. I'm going over that way soon so I'll definitely be taking a detour. Any idea what The Old Stag next door is like for lunch 😊
  20. I remember Tony. It was the other tutor. Not Dave Bentley, other one
  21. Do you remember going to the lakes for our 'bonding' weekend at college? We went to see the highest naturally regenerating oaks and then on to some yews. Were they the Borrowdale Yews? Tutor(can't remember name now) reckoned they were between 4 and 8 thousand years old!!! I was young and daft but still thought that was a tad vague!
