1. Thing is though what if someone is standing behind that pane of glass? For the cost its not worth not having it really.
2. Eric Wimp, 29 Acacia Road, Dandytown(aka Nuttytown)
3. Well although not a legal requirement(but it bloody well should be!) I think all traders should have public liability.
4. EXCELLENT!!!! Another good turn out and well in too all.
5. Now. THAT is a beard.
6. ....looking for my name there....assuming you havent finished updating it yet:w00t:
7. I think you need to edit that mate.
8. I think I would be giving that a miss. I think I paid less than £50 for 25 litres of synthetic stuff. No blown up saws and no smoke that I can see.
9. Thats the second to last thing I would ever want to get a saw THAT close to! Hope he was alright?
10. Penis size. Anything smaller is just plain gay.
11. I would say that ime and imo its alot 'easier' to cut yourself when one handing when you start crossing your arms/hands over or under the saw. Also putting your self in a position that will drag you or your arm into the saw if either the branch is heavier than you thought or it doesnt cut cleanly and hangs on. Another time is if cut and holding long laterals that can spring the saw up towards you. Tbh I havent even seen anyone using a top handle that doesnt one hand. It is also way quicker than doing the conventional step cuts etc, no question. Apart from the obvious injury one handing can cause I think that there will be a lot more long term indirect injuries due to strain. I am already feeling it in my wrists and elbows which I blame on cutting and chucking. I cant ever see the HSE allowing anyone to train to use a saw one handed. If I didnt work the way I do I couldnt compete in price. Being safe is one thing, being out of work is another.
12. Any ideas on what the diameter was at that height? Always find it difficult to judge by photos. Actually is the little red guy to scale?
13. I put a pull line in probably 90% of the trees I fell. But then Im not that good a felling
14. He has to, its a duty of care thing.
15. I dunno, could be the end of your world! I reckon that would do some damage to swing from there. I have walked away from the odd tree when things werent going right or getting that feeling. Always looked better after a day or even a couple of hours. As long as your anchored in to something at least a few inches thick you know it aint going to snap. Anything less and you should be able to hand hold it and pull it into you at the least then sned it up and throw it out.
16. You need to get on to those fellas and work it with them. You win a few jobs and get them to do it for freeeeee:thumbup:
17. Sounds like a good plan. I just remember they snapped off the 46 one day, wasnt impressed. Perhaps I need to brush up on my sharpening skills though.
18. Never understood the removing the dogs lark. Just makes it more difficult for me, and thats the last thing I would want.
19. Good to see that for some the cost does go down! It does all seem very random though for some reason:confused1:
20. Looks like a good un.
21. I would hope I could do it and would imagine most of us would when the survival instinct kicks in. Whether I would leave it too long and then be too weak to carry it out or survive afterwards would be another thing.
22. I expect a vid of said splitter when its running?
23. No they dont. In fact no one really needs to do anything they enjoy at all. We should all just work, eat to survive and have just enough kids to sustain the population. Anything else is just purely greedy. I dont think anyone would moan if the cost they paid for flights was a fair reflection on the service etc. What I dont agree with is when the government just decide to bung another tax on long distance flights
24. Because he replaced the land cruiser with a mini. I don't mean everyone who has a 4x4 could realistically swap it for a mini! I would never complain about gas guzzlers, it's up o them if they want to put a load of fuel in their tank. Besides a jumbo is a lot more fuel efficient than a fiesta.
25. To live the rest of 'MY' life in blissful happiness. Is there any other reason for living?
