  1. Ive never seen a pattern 020T/MS200T cylinder unfortunately.
  2. There will be absolutely loads of lads that will graduate but have no intention of doing tree work. They will then move on to whatever other training course the DSS(or whatever its called these days) thinks will be a good job for a young lad. No idea of the ones that do want to get into tree work.
  3. Err remember this thread eh. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/25054-nice.html
  4. Nice bit of felling that. Looks like a good bit of a twist in the stem, just to help things out!
  5. Its a pity we cant get hold of copy cylinders for the ms200T like you can for most other Stihl's. Spare parts on ebay unless its a minter of a saw worth spending a few quid on.
  6. Last edited by Steve Bullman; 31-01-11 at 04:47 PM.. I want to know what you said that required an editting.
  7. Thought as much. Cheers for the info. Its just most of the lads I know are climbers and I very rarely hear about HAVS problems. Which is defiantly not to say we should ignore them. The more injuries I pick up along the way the more I look into how I can help prevent some of them. Anyway look forward to seeing the info.
  8. I'd be interested to see the results. With regards to the previous records which users were most likely to go over the recommended levels, the climbers or groundies?
  9. Lets just hope the consequences arent some poor climber being fried. Good on you for not taking the job on when your not sure about whats involved with the lines. Be interesting to see the outcome of the hedge/tree situation. I would of thought that certain hedges would be protected and trees can still come under TPO. May not be the best thing to start having a go at the locals just yet though.
  10. Saturdays are a no go for me unless I'm really desperate for the money or the job has to be done for a good client. But, I dont think I have ever worked on a Sunday. Well no climbing or cutting, paper work and maintenance for the next day but only when it really has to be done. Tbh I dont know how a lot of you work so many days ie every Sat etc, although I am just a right lazy git when I want to be. Good stuff if you enjoy it though.
  11. Is there a link as to whats being sold off and the possible costs or is it just in the process atm? Sorry if its already been posted up, couldnt find anything on the FC website.
  12. A farmer once said to us(on power line duty) "Why do you bother to climb and cut the branches off when you can just shoot them off with a shotgun?" Oh and nope.
  13. Although I can sympathise with your problem I cant sympathise with the actions you are willing to take. As professionals I am sure we have all came across this dilemma with a potential customer and would hope we havent been involved any further. I do think something could/should be done with neighbours allowing their trees to grow without thought for others. But really, damaging someones elses property. Surely you knew this wouldnt go down well.
  14. How so? I always stipulate when spraying that if it re sprouts I will treat again for free. Never had anyone call me back. Grinding is going to cost a lot more than spraying so you could be conning the client eh? Glyphosate at 20% just after cutting would hopefully do the trick. Well thats all I ever use and as above never had to re spray. Never felled an alder though!
  15. Likeitorlumpit, thats what I think you should do.
  16. None hear either. I also dont have a canoe, or little pea green boat. Hope it helps.
  17. See if you can swap the carb with a known good one. There were a few dodgy types of carbs on the 200T.
  18. I'm sure that it is to do with us living way past our expiry date rather than the amount of kids we have(I have none btw so someone can offset theirs against me:thumbup:) There definatley needs to be a stop to people having kids that they cant afford ie scroungers. They are the problem, they are diluting the gene pool, the stupid shall inherit the earth.
  19. I very much doubt anyone would have objections to you posting up the info.
  20. Have you tried turning the oil feed adjuster down?
  21. Well nothing was mentioned about buying land, well nothing that I heard anyway. Besides I'm sure a lot of us would like to buy a bit of land and build a nice house on it but if it was that easy the developers would have it all bought up. I didnt realise you needed planning permission to live in a caravan on a bit of land you own.
  22. Sooner the better. I'd definitely be taking it down before its in leaf as there will be a lot less mess to clean from leaf and flower. It will be well seasoned for this winter if you cut and split it.
  23. Shows how completely different cultures can be. What could be described as sickening and immoral in one culture is actively encouraged in another. I think questions should be asked on who actually makes that type of clothing for 6 year old. The christening out fits are comical to say the least but dressing kids up to look and act like protestutites is going way to far. I imagine that's no how they see it judging by the high morals they install, hence the first line of my post. Still don't understand though why they think they should just be given some land to live on.
  24. I dont know anyone who has had an accident with a big saw but quite a few that have with small saws. I'm not sure if that means they are safer or not, but I guess an accident with an 088 is going to be fairly brutal! Although did have a big dolmar kick out of a log and swipe me in the side of the knee once, that hurt quite a bit.
