  1. Janpanese maple. They dont usually grow big enough to warrant a bit of professional work. Leylandii are the best, they generate the most income.
  2. Whats the problem? Draw the loan, max the credit card to the limit then drop dead of over indulgence!!!! The joke is on them:lol::lol:
  3. Yeah well nothing ever bothers you though. Someone, somewhere will always be offended, and thats all that counts these days.
  4. I would say thin. To do a good reduction without loads of reshoots requires a very small reduction which is usually pointless for the client. Meant to say when you thin you can reduce slightly to.
  5. Nice pics and work. That tractor in 15,16,17 looks like its seen a few battles.
  6. I think someone who wants to be an arb will benefit a great deal being at college. The problem I see these days are lads who go to college doing an arb course, not wanting to be an arb, just doing it for the sake of being advised to to get a job. Thats why there are so many arbs not interested in actually doing the job, annoying employers. Well IME anyway.
  7. I cant understand any of this, is it written in broken English?
  8. 1:20 Tut,tut. You do know thats now an offence.
  9. Sounds like it's not getting any oil to the chain, or not enough. Is it flinging oil off the end of the bar, is the oil level in the tank dropping, can you see oil on the drive links, bar etc? If no to any of the above you have an oil problem(99%) sure it is anyway from what you've already posted. Welcome btw.
  10. 1 and 2. There are some people/crews that I wouldnt want to learn from.
  11. I hope none of you have paid list price for any saws You can usually knock 25% off for a kick off. Or well you could!
  12. Nice1 thanks for the info. I thought the AA had something to do with it but wasn't really sure. Looks like we owe the AA and FC a big thanks or we may not be having this discussion! Life without the 020 doesnt bare thinking about! (well working life anyway) In regards to using the 020 on the ground being an offence, is this prosecutable by law?
  13. Give the guy a break, its not even been a week between slaggings. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/25132-sign-times.html#post422284 Someone is missing out on a great opportunity to get a climber in they dont even have to pay for!
  14. Western red cedar maybe?
  15. I was watching a Horizon program on this subject. The general thinking was that the climate is warming up but due to man its warming up quicker than it has in the past. Which apparently will cause quite a few problems.
  16. Still wouldnt stop them doing it though. People did use the backhandles one handed, well and still do, dunno if there was still as many accidents as there are with the 020's. Its just how the top handles can be used one handed that causes the accidents, not the fact that they can be used one handed. Which I know is exactly what your saying.
  17. Does anyone know if the HSE tried to ban top handles quite a few years ago? I remember speaking to an NPTC assessor years ago who mentioned something of the above. I'm just thinking that if they did and they also thought that a lot of professional uses think further training should be required to use a top handle they might just look at removing them from use altogether. Which wouldnt be at all surprising.
  18. You know what will happen though, they just wont bother with insurance.
  19. Has anyone thought of the complications and costs arising from bringing in another CS unit or additional advanced courses? Would all employers have to get there staff on another course or risk not complying with there care of duty/insurance requirements etc. Or is it just me being a tight git:blushing:
  20. Ahh yes well spotted. Looks like a nice saw.
  21. Hopefully someone will post who owns one but I would be very surprised If it wasnt supposed to have an anvil. Something has to wear away.
  22. Thieving scumbags:thumbdown: Sounds like they have nicked quite a bit. Be interesting see the outcome going own the legal route:thumbup1: Good luck and hope they get the punishment they deserve.
  23. That sounds like an odd setup. Maybe wherever an anvil usually is is worn, therefore allowing small twigs to get dragged in rather than being chipped.
  24. Excellent:thumbup1: Low max rpm though 10200:confused1:
  25. Possibly, will just have to look at usage and were to get it delivered to etc. I was keeping a bit of a log of red usage and costs so will have to dig it out. Cheers for the info so far. Cheapest ATM is looking around 60p going up to 89p (if I include the vat)
