  1. I am sure Reg doesn't make mega bucks from the Arbotrolley. But he brought it to the market and has spent a fair bit of time and resource promoting it. Why not show a bit of respect and and buy an original... As stated above and in many other threads it will pay for itself in no time.
  2. The ring I used was off one of the missus handbags... She will get a shock if she tries to use it again as it only has one handle now!
  3. Just found the video... [ame] [/ame]
  4. I was watching a clip presented by a Swedish chap. He asked the question why do they get into knackered boats and dinghy's and pay 1000 USD for the privilege and risk of drowning. These people clearly have the funds but why go by sea when a flight from Syria to Europe is anywhere between 320 and 400 USD on average. The reason... Airlines turn them away due to incorrect paperwork, as if they let them on and then they were refused at the destination airport the carrying airline is responsible for getting them back to the starting pint of their Journey. A change in these sort of laws may be all it takes to stop the drownings and other tragedies that seem to be happening on an all too often basis. Very sad indeed.
  5. Hornet sting, my arse? You look like that on a good day!
  6. It's a bit jumpy but it is so wet here at the moment I take 2 or 3 ropes out with me and change then when I do another tree. A dry rope is easier on my hands.
  7. Mine looks nicer now as I have put in some pretty looking cord instead of the back tree motion elastic.
  8. You mean like this. Tends very nicely. I just drilled the holes myself as my edition of the bone was pre top tending point. Gordon, I have been climbing hard on the BDB since January. I can report it is holding up very well. Have you had anyone wear one out yet?
  9. Bring it on. Looking forward to it. I am working in Oslo at the moment. If this crappy weather finally breaks and we get some good work and sun I might make another vid myself. Cheers.
  10. Yup tight indeedy! Great work mate and just enough of the effect for me. I quite liked the music also Keep em Coming.
  11. Or there is a new one out. I think it is the 235mx. Like the 220 but with a turntable. One firm I work for has a couple of 300mx and a much larger 10" iirc wth turntable for the large truck. They are great machines.
  12. Yup. Already done it.
  13. That is exactly what I have just been through. On the bright side though, at least I don't have to do another tax return until January 2017.
  14. I thought I had bought 60 but when i went on FR Jones website it said they only had 50. Maybe I did get 60 after all. I think mine was about 280 inc at the time.
  15. Sorry mate, I thought I had replied to that question. I picked mine up from FR Jones and son. 50m Unspliced. It was quite expensive but I have had it 3 or 4 years. I spliced an eye into it. Edit: Just found this on Justins website. http://www.frjonesandson.co.uk/products-page/yale/rigging-ropes1/16mm-yale-polydyne-lowering-rope/
  16. Dan. I reckon you could get another wrap on the bollard with 14mm. I would have thought though that the extra diameter of the 16mm would equate to the same friction with less wraps. If I remember correctly the polydine is not that far off the working loads of a 19mm rope.
  17. Alright Daddio! I have the Stein 2 ton fixed bollard, can't remember the name. Works pretty sweet and use a 16mm polydine for most things. Yes you can take some decent sized bits with that combo. The only restriction is the actual size of the bollard. You'd be hard pressed to get more than 3 wraps on it. Tbh it is usually max 2 wraps and those pictures few are pretty large. Remember, big chunks make big hunks mate!
  18. Dont make hasty decisions Adam. Check out GLC2000 UK | Fight Arthritis & Reduce Joint Pain | glc2000.co.uk Try the supplements mate. A lot of pro fighters and athletes endorse its benefits. All the best though with whichever path you follow. If you want a chat anytime give me a buzz.
  19. Well done. Moving house is probably one of the most stressful thing you will do in a lifetime. I am in the process of remortgaging at the moment.
  20. Quality Sean. I can imagine the glimpses gave you drive to recover enough to get out, out!
  21. Yes mate. Google Adventures policy. I got a manual labour with power tool use unto 40m. I think it covers the US. I got Europe only. Adventures travel insurance - tailor-made for any activity or occupation probably worth speaking to them. At first they offered me a policy but said no more than 20m... they went back to the underwriter and he said no problem. Have a great time
  22. Happy birthday mate, that looked fun. I did one similar called the Fantasticable - Chatel a few times when I was doing winter seasons in the area. The breaking system on yours looked a lot smoother than the one I went on.
  23. Send me a PM mate. Mine is hardly used. In fact I think I have climbed on it about 4-5 times.
  24. Cheers Adam. The ladders were the home owners. He was gonna knock the whole right hand side off himself. Then he thought better of it.
  25. Fair sized tree that Sam. Had it been dead long?
