  1. Great pictures mate. Not really seen anything like that before. What was the height of the tree? it was certainly chunky. Cheers for posting.
  2. Yes Jim, can you explain what happened exactly. Cheers.
  3. Thanks for making the effort again Steve. Well done.
  4. I use mine as an extension of my arm to retrieve hangers or ropes. For rope though I hold the back of the blade and use the handle
  5. My 150t has been Exhaust modded since I got the thing and the timing has been advanced recently by 6 degs. As long as the chain is super sharp it will pull bar length (10") in softer woods like conny, willow, pop etc. Now the timing has been advanced it is even better. You can see the 150t in use during this little vid. This is before the timing advance. [ame] [/ame]
  6. I always climb with a silky, unless I forget it. Silky 420 Sugoi for me. I have a 150t, owned it for about 2 years now. Cracking little saw that I could use for most things. Pruning and dismantles are a breeze with the 150t. The only downside is when I go up a tree with one of my 200t's it feels like I am lumping a 66 about. The 150t is a great little saw but I still like to climb with a silky.
  7. Nice work mate. Did you have to clear all the brash as well?
  8. Good work Olly. I see your still on the bone. How you finding it mate? Mine started to slip s bit on a new cougar Orange line so I have been on a RR for a bit. As for the cost for the video. 1-200 would be fair or just bill it as an extra day for your time. Using the line that it will allow you to purchase more kit to make better vids is a good one. Good luck and catch you soon fella.
  9. Glad you finally found the inspiration Jesse. Good work bud.
  10. I'll check the video later. One thing a few I was discussing with a fellow climber the other day was that ART are missing a trick. I am eagerly awaiting an ASRT device.
  11. I have heard they go great. Increased HP, torque and mpg. It is on the list but I haven't got one yet.
  12. Surely the 'MS200t' doesn't trump the donation of 2 pairs of safety specs...
  13. What has an urgent care clinic based in Brooklyn got do do with Arborists on a UK Arb forum. That is 3 threads at least you have posted that on. Not relevant mate.
  14. "Bullies special ppprrrrize!" Ladies and gentleman, look what you could have won. Instead here is your special tankard and BFH!
  15. Well done for organising Steve. I will get some tickets soon, I promise. I think a special prize for the last tickets bought would be a good craic. Especially if the special prize isn't a bloody Speedboat or Caravan (Young's won't have a clue what I am going on about, unless they have seen old episodes of Bullseye on some dodgy cable channel) You could see a load of last minute sales go through.
  16. Completely normal I'm afraid. Iirc it even states so in the user manual. It is usual to use up to 2l of oil in the first 6 months or so.
  17. Looks like you had a great year mate.
  18. I have a 65 plate HILUX and am getting about 33MPG at the moment. Mind I have only done 600 miles or so to date. I must admit, first impressions were very disappointing, when comparing the HILUX to the 10 plate Navara I have just shifted... The Hilux is slower less power (torque) more agricultural (tractor like) Worse road manners than the Nav. The interior is off a worse build quality Slightly better MPG so far. The Navara had a 2.5l engine delivering a very smooth 190BHP (ish). The Hilux had a 3.0l D4D engine with 171 BHP. Basically you have to spec up the HILUX for the luxuries that would be standard on a Navara Tekna model. This makes it far higher in price and not as value. Everyone seems to rave about the HILUX but tbh, I am having trouble seeing any truth in there words. Time will tell though, I will be able to make a more informed decision once I have owned and driven it for a few more months.
  19. Haha, sorry couldn't resist!
  20. The cigar is in the mouth, but the lighter is out of gas! Germans spell their tractors with a K.
  21. Pretty expensive but the cougar 'puke' is a great rope. It is up to you to determine if it is a good value rope for rec climbing.
  22. Some great pictures there Jesse. You all set for Christmas break mate?
  23. My grandfather was called George "Geordie" Rule and married to Mary Rule. Both my old man and uncle Ray were both cricketers from an early age, so if any of the old timers were playing they may have heard of them.
  24. Obviously I never knew him as my dad was only 7 when it happened. My Surviving uncle was called Ray and the eldest brother was Edward Rule. The grew up in the villages where Gray Git is based.
