  1. It is harder to get your head around big climbs. BUT when it clicks it is worth while.
  2. One of my best mates lives out there with his Finnish wife. We were at their wedding in central Funland and a logging truck pulled in so I went over for a chat with my kids... When I told the driver I climbed trees and cut them he looked at me like I was a crazy fool. Not sure of the cities in the south though. Good luck.
  3. I had one Sugi bar spin a nose sprocket without greasing it so now I grease the bar on my 660. My 441 is about 7 years old and I think I have cleaned the filter 4 times in that time. It runs like a scalded greyhound! Never had a problem with it. I do regularly clean the air filters on my toppers though.
  4. Fine mate. All good. The spine is pretty worn but it still responds well. I am a pretty heavy climber so I guess that is a good testament to the build quality.
  5. Yup, Gordon my BDB is still going strong ( albeit a little worn ) after 13 months climbing on it.
  6. Who is that with Billy?
  7. I charge an increased day rate if I take Rigging kit. 16mm Polydine, Stein fixed bollard, impact block, couple. Swing cheek pulleys and various xrings and strops. The Polydine is pretty bombproof and I would like to think anything greater than that needs rigging they can fork out for crane.
  8. Shut it Bolam!
  9. Never had a problem personally. I tend to use obscure mixes of tunes by certain dj's. Can't think of any I have had blocked. Some of them do come up with a link though to iTunes for the purchase of the tune, but ever blocked.

    Ploggs .

Lounge topics don't appear on the unread post function. They may appear on the todays posts function but I don't use that.
  11. Can I have a few mate for my 200t's, 150t and the 660 you did? Which might I add is blinding!
  12. Excellent work Matty. You came up with some nice solutions to make a bitch of a job go away.
  13. And if you breath out on a filing stroke you are likely to snap the file they are that thin.
  14. Aye me too. Toyota fitted mine for me when I bought the truck so if it leeks then they have to cover on the warranty. Mine is handy having the top door on the master key central locking and the light in there as well comes in handy. Not cheap, but you tend to get what you pay for with these things.
  15. I went for the first one on this page. Toyota Hilux Hardtops for Hilux Mk7 (11-16) Double Cab by Truckman Needs fitting with underbed liner, so you might have to change if you have an overbed liner. I wanted the solid sided version but was unable to get it in the time frame needed.
  16. I am of too far from Horsham mate. You got any trees you have in mind?
  17. I hate it when that happens Ian. If I was as crap at my job or gave the same amount of care to other people's business as some do... I don't doubt I would not have a lot of work. Well done on getting finished in time.
  18. Haha, that's is why I love down south. Much warmer. Nice truck and setup JP.
  19. What were you doing up North John?
  20. I bought these last time through the airport in Oslo. With the exchange rate and they had an offer on they were considerably cheaper than in the UK at the time. Makes a change Norway being a place for bargains. They are the nuts though. Noise cancellation is perfect for flights as it means I can listen to audiobooks that are crystal clear on about 1/4 volume. They kick ass as well for a bit of D&B.
  21. For practical work I would recommend The Fundamentals of General Tree Work by Gerry Beranek Or Working Climber series of dvd's by the same bloke. The art and science is a good book though.
  22. I hadn't realised Jon climbed on a rope wrench. Well you live and learn.
  23. Try using a recognised hitch Benn. 3 wrap 2 braid VT for example or a Knut. Then if that doesn't work look at different tethers.
  24. Well I have had the kids as my good lady was in Bristol working. Took the boys Thai boxing this morning, then Nandos for lunch. Dropped my 4 year old off at a Star Wars party and me and the 8 year old have just watched guardians of the Galaxy. Now the missus has come home, we high fived and the kids are hers now.
  25. Anyone tried wet wipes? If they can get poo of a babies butt then they can remove almost anything.
