  1. Did you not have a groundie with you that day CSS?
  2. Look for the schultz effect thread on here or google it. for 40$ you will get access to his brain in the for of video clips available for download or stream.
  3. rope runner I paid 38 quid but that was due to them writing 150usd value on the customs ticket. If they had written the price I actually paid for the rr then I am sure it would have been a far bit more. The second runner I got I sent it to a friends mother in law in Cali, he picked it up for me when they went to visit. So I save on international shipping and import. Made it a very cheap rr indeed.
  4. What he said. ^^. Once the centre top is formed and you are working a side. I try and visualise how far away from the centre I am and how much I have dropped off the pruning point on the opposite side. No doubt you will be able to see through, so you can estimate and the outcome looks very even.
  5. I get import duties on treestuff orders. Yet didn't get charged with my BDB. My theory is treestuff send it UPS, whereas Gordon send out the BDB via the U.S. Postal Service.
  6. I got stung about 3 weeks after the runner arrived. Approx 40 quid. Can't imagine how much I should have paid if treestuff had put the correct price instead of 150dollars.
  7. Get some of the treemotionelastic and slide over a cover of another rope. Then tie two fisherman a knots in each end of the elastic and clip in a small bina. Or Take a Lyon tape sling and out an overhand knot in the middle. Place over shoulders like a rucksack and clip a bina to pull the loops together. Use as a chest harness. Both cheap and easy to set up.
  8. Can you put up a picture of that Carl? Cheers
  9. Pull the plug out after a running the saw for a few cuts in the log. Have a look at the colour. Do the same again and check the colour and adjust accordingly. Just don't pull the cap too hard as I pulled mine off!
  10. I have filled one in already mate. I have many devices, many ropes and plenty of psuedonyms if you need anymore filling in.
  11. I hear you but don't agree. In the birch example. When you are defending on a pole tie a running bowline and long tail. You can then decend to the next cutting point or just flip them both down. That way you always have a bail out option of things go sticky. You can do this of course with ddrt but I find it easier than faffing with a cambium saver.
  12. Well I pitched in a bought it last night. I have been climbing SRT for quite a while now but don't claim to know it all. If I pick up a few snippets then it's all good. I think more importantly it is good to support projects like this. 40$ is Jack **** in the grander scheme of things. But if a thousand people buy then you do the maths. It must have taken a large chunk of Lawrence's life... The way I see it I have just donated 40$ for him to get a bit back and it shows appreciation of his patience and hard work.
  13. We were trying to get today's job finished so I could get home for the game. Wasn't happening. Luckily I had 4G. Iplayer and watched it in the customers garden while some one went off to tip. Only problem was the Iplayer was about 10 mins behind and the lady of the house kept coming out giving us commentary... It was all good though!
  14. Sorry to hear about the Ankylosing Spondylitis. I have a friend in Norway with the same condition. There is another member on here with it. Terrible condition. Good to hear of her determination to try and not let it set her back.
  15. I get a lot f where out of the AKU's. They don't make croda anymore. Nod had a few pair left at the Arb show in random sizes. Might be a pair in your size. The Cresta were never cd boots and lasted me nearly 4 years. The Viaz not so good. I managed to find a pair of Cresta in my size.

IMO it is pretty much standard practice. Both countries have a history of football violence. All it take is a number of wrong uns in this case the russians. They charge families and fans alike to provoke a reaction. No self respecting English man is going to ignore someone threatening hi family so he reacts. The Russians have got the reaction they wanted. If there is minimal reaction, the die hard English nutters will have reason to react elsewhere as the innocent families were attacked. Again, they get the reaction they wanted.
  17. Nice rigging mate. Note to ones self... Get a second battery.
  18. Keep up the good work. Concentrate on good working practice. If you can get hold of the fundamentals of general Treework by Gerry Beranek it is great reading for the khazi.
  19. Fussy bugger aren't you Steve.
  20. Crazy paving! Looks good though!
  21. What's a return?
  22. Good luck with the assessments Paul and congrats on being a two time granddaddy. See you at the show at the weekend. Sorry I didn't get back to you via PM. Been busy with work and the kids. My eldest is 9 tomorrow. Secretly I hope the weather is gash so I can help him build his latest Lego set.
  23. I think the average wage is greatly affected by London wages as are house prices. The difference is so staggering that people in the North East could be seen as pretty well off even though they earn less than the UK average.
  24. I did think similar as well Mick. Post 2 in particular.
