  1. I did think similar as well Mick. Post 2 in particular.
  2. Yes it is a pyramid scheme selling supplements that aren't necessarily as good for you as they make out to be.
  3. Herbal life is not entirely what it appears to be. There are a number of articles on the Net regarding this sort of thing. Do a search, research and then make an informed decision. Personally, I wouldn't be touching it.
  4. Like he so eloquently put. Personally I only contract climb, but I will call clients back up if j do t here from them. As for running a business, if you have put in the time and effort to visit site, put forward a proposal and sent it over and applied for permissions on the customers behalf... I would be following it up and if it pissed off the potential customer that much, would they really be the sort you want to be workng for I the first place. It isn't rude to call back for a bit of feedback, it is how you deal with things when you initially speak to them... I.e. Just as your leaving, tell them it might take a couple of days to put forward a proposal and that you will send it over. Tell them you will give them a week or so do go over the quote and then give them a call back to see how there getting on and to answer any further questions. That way you have already announced to them to expect a call from you in a weeks time. If they refuse to answer or return your messages, they are the rude, cheeky ones that you may not want to work for. It is all to do with the qualification process.
  5. Are those boots chainsaw protection Rupe? A friend had the Arbpro climbing boots, quick step or something. They lasted less than 6 months. Yet I have had the Andrews Cervino chainsaw boots f over a year and they are great. Like Matty said, it will be interesting to see how they hold up.
  6. I don't think it is tax free mate. You would still have to declare earnings in UK.
  7. Good work Benn.
  8. I have never made a knife myself, something I would love to have a go at. I always have a look around the blades at game fairs etc, just never had the time to make a knife up. I could be wrong but I have a vague memory of someone telling me that truck leaf springs make good blanks???
  9. Pretty crap game but on topic. Jack lumber. Available for the iPhone and iPad from AppStore. But like fruit ninja but with logs and an axe.
  10. Can you just rock up or do you need to pre book the camping?
  11. All cockers, not just workers. I blame the kennel club and breeders. Trying to strive for the perfect dog, whether it is for working or showing. I know of at least 2 that friends and family have owned that have gone crackers. We had a cocker when I was growing up and even though he was a bit loopy, it never turned serious. Let's see the pics mate and good luck with the training.
  12. Or Rupe if it the perfect look, get a pinto and have the single leg between the pinto. Looks sweet but fore I liked the HC extra holes as I clipped my chest tether in there. Also if I changed to doubled rope then I prefer the hitchclimber system over a Pinto.
  13. My cougar blue seems really static at 45 m. I have had it a couple of years now and it is still holding up. My cougar Orange is 60m. It seems a tad bouncier when in large trees but still great to climb on.
  14. Not necessarily Rupe. I rarely use a wrench but when I do it is a HC setup and stiff tether.
  15. Good luck mate. I have faith in you. If anyone can do it you can.
  16. Smooth mate. You do seem to get some nice work out there. Still over in July?
  17. Good work mate. I bet it was nice having the mewp to chunk the stem down.
  18. That Chester is a tenner cheaper at Gustharts than Treekit. I have one and must admit it is excellent. Quality build and the adjustment area is quite flexible.
  19. Great news. Looking forward to getting my hands on one.
  20. One of the most memorable was slotting a 70 foot beech tree into a farmers field from a property that backed into the land. It was about 3 foot dbh and stood about 10'foot inside the garden. The fence was being removed and there was a double gate in the fence line about 4-5 foot wide. NSo I opens the gate and slotted the tree through the gate posts. It didn't even roll on impact and make contact with the posts. I only remember it because if the fence and gate weren't being ripped out then I wouldn't have dared try it. If I had I would have been paying for new fencing anyway. There were builders on site as well. The tree landed and I walked way like a Boss.
  21. I would have thought that the amount of water that tree would normally utilise would be an issue after it has been removed. Your garden may be perpetually flooded during wetter times.
  22. I think it is more to do with the fact used rope is harder to splice due to small bits of grit and other contaminants. Usually takes more time.
  23. 'Coz Neville said so.
  24. Not sure on the bar and chain for the partners. The guy who sold them to you cheap probably looked on eBay first: Partner Petrol Chainsaw | eBay Whole saws are going for less than you paid. Now who do you reckon got the deal there? IMO I would leave the lesser brands to the home owners. Stick to the three or four well known brands. Easier to get parts, usually more reliable and you know what your getting. Just my opinion of course, hope the partners don't turn out to be Lemons.
