  1. I bet those thieves voted Tory Geoff
  2. Looks to be pulling in the FM well Mick. You selling to someone over there or a buyer from the UK?
  3. Nice work Jesse. Say hello to Callum from me.
  4. Surely a simple overhand knot doesn't need untieing? Even the most pedant of pedants can see if it has been done correctly. Now if my LOLER inspector failed a harness on that reason then I would be using some one else.
  5. If you drill the exhaust and timing advance it will pull bar length in Oak. Well, mine does. I am lucky enough to have a couple of ported 200t's left that run very nicely. Hopefully they will do me for a while yet.
  6. What bob said.
  7. The 150 is an awesome little saw, with a timing advance and muffler mod it is better than the early 201t's. I haven't used the new models so cannot really comment.
  8. Enjoyed that one mate. I love it when you turn up on site and have to make a plan on the fly. Or basically make it up as you go along. The most enjoyably type of work for me. Good stuff.
  9. My account rant says commercial can carry a ton payload. Ergo, I would have thought a 4x4 that doesn't carry a ton isnt commercial.
  10. Nice chipper Mick.
  11. How you finding it Steve? I thought it was pretty good the times I used it.
  12. Dead wooding again in a graveyard today and yesterday. Dirty rotten roadside ash tree with dieback to make safe and tidy and then a few pines and a nice maple in the afternoon. Drop and leave, the best sort of job. Rich
  13. Nice fell Ian.
  14. The should do it mate. Ivy removals are a PITA but i find them surprisingly satisfying afterwards.
  15. Steve have you actually tried it on a large tree yet? Seriously that is when it comes into its own. Deadwooding in a graveyard today. Couple of pines, decent spread oak and then was about to go up an Ash with a fair bit of dead. Stop, we hear chainsaws. The local Kommune guys (council) decided they didn't want to outdone and turned up with a massive John Deere, a length of polly prop and a blunt Stihl Farm boss and preceded to fell some 60 footers on their side of the graveyard boundary. First few went ok ish. The third went straight into the tree I was about to go up and wiped out about 4 decent sized limbs on their side. A dead wood turned into a clean up the stubbs job. Still did it SRT.
  16. I can confirm Steve's work. My rebuilt and ported 660 with dual port muffler goes like the clappers. It is a tad loud though
  17. Little bit of Spruce topping today in the sun. -4 when we started but soon warmed up once you get going. Rich
  18. In the time I have been climbing srt, I have never set up any sort of mechanical advantage system. I either just come in as normal or roll off the side of the limb and then swing back to the stem.
  19. You can just pull a bit of line through and do a pinto top tie at the anchor point. Then if something hits the base tie leg you are still safe.
  20. The 3.0 is only available on double cabs. I have the invincible and it goes well but only has 2000 odd mile on the clock. You can et the lower spec trim though in double cab. Not sure on the older models though.
  21. As Joe said. Skinny mini stuff I either alpine butterfly it or girth hitch it and tension it up so it doesn't move too much. For me that is the beauty of SRT, almost infinite options for anchoring. Sometimes I anchor into fatter stuff then pass the system through a higher point for better angles. In theory if the top one goes it is backed up below.
  22. You still haven't got the hang of it yet mate... Unlike myself, a sophisticated Teesider.
  23. Good stuff mate. Nice edit as well. I noticed you have started to put the contracting parties info on the vids these days. Do you let them be available on their websites etc? Keep at it mate, I always check them and enjoy the vids. Sometimes I forget to give props but that is my fault and not a reflection of the time and effort to produce the vids.
