  1. His Rope might have gotten snagged in the ridgy Bark that Pinus Radiata have?Or a stub?
  2. Where was it supposed to go?
  3. In a perfect world....
  4. Its cheaper resists abrasion and subsequent heat better you can splice it it does not degrade from UV,Chemical exposure it is more resistant to cuts and crushing
  5. I would shoot it with a Anti Tank Rocket. IF I could find one on Ebay.
  6. America.
  7. The op might have made the typo because he is hard of Herring?
  8. So what you really are after is for a job offer. Not actually take some time to find out some companies in the places you might like to work.If you don't have enough initiative for that, then your chances are minimal.
  9. How about finding a forum for Electricians and asking the following. I have no training and want to start a small Electrical contracting firm. What do I need to have/do? How much will I earn without any experiance? I am a Fireman but want to be your competition and still have my normal job. Look forward to your replies-
  10. If you got 6.5 years from a set of Bearings you did very well indeed.Especially if the machine had some Hours on it prior to you buying it.
  11. Loverly Knife that! Who made it?
  12. The craftsmanship displayed in the construction of that Coffee table is exquisite Mozza!
  13. Here is my 10" Jensen with 80 HP Chipping. Sorry no Pelvic thrusts. I think the input PTO speed on your machine is to slow. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CpsQHBGdVQ]My big chipper!! - YouTube[/ame]
  14. Here is my Jensen 6" Tracked machine in action. Its chipping Lime, your machine should be devestating the lenghts your man was feeding it. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZ6ARLjS64s]Jensen tracked chipper - YouTube[/ame]
  15. First of all thanks for posting. You stuck your neck out on that job as well as lined yourself up for some abuse from folks on here. I know I have cocked up numerous jobs in the past, its all part of the learning curve. Crane companies have only once sent out a rep when I have booked a Crane.I have worked with cranes for ten years in five countries.Where you were having to set the legs made balancing the picks close to impossible.Consider the Jib next time, even just 500Kg would have been enough for the picks I saw on the Vid. Long story short, thanks for having the guts to show us the Video.
  16. Sounds like your all Trawling for insults. "Solitier" is in fact a complex card game played by Fishermen. Dosn't matters since this thread has Floundered anyhow.
  17. Problem?
  18. As far as I remember I Chain does not store Energy like a Wire Rope or Strop does.So if a tensioned Chain breaks,it will just fall to the ground. However when a Chain Breaks it can fragment, sending peices of sharp Steel flying.
  19. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uftJ3JJQk4&feature=player_embedded]ZIL screw drive (1) - YouTube[/ame]
  20. I reckon it could in theory, but I think the Tree despite its defects would have been subjected to more stress in the form of wind loading than what force would be applied to the stem from the Top going out. When I am topping out the dodgy ones,I put my back cut under the level of the face cut, then once the top is committed I keep cutting. It reduces the ammount of rearward movment and prevents the hinge hanging on.
  21. Top Stuff mate! Really nice reduction.
  22. I bought from these people:Willkommen bei Unimog-Huber = DER SPEZIALIST FR GEBRAUCHTE UNIMOG UND TEILE! But I found the Mog on Mobile.de I think. I saved about 30% or I got a 30% better Mog for the same price. Outfits like Merex sell only the best machines and have prices to match. There are more than a few sharks about over there,so just make sure you are going over there to see the exact mog they have pictured. I live in Norway,so export was just a 16hour drive back.Any dealer should be able to help you export a Truck.
  23. I bought mine from Germany, there are no shortage of Mogs or Dealers over there. The advantage of buying from a reputable dealer in Germany, especially with the ex German Council Mogs,is that they have been run and maintained by people accustomed to Mogs. I spent more than what I was planning on,but bought a Mog with less than 50K Miles on the clock for a great deal less than what it would have sold for in the UK. Have a look here.
