Nice job! There are alot of people on here who will never have section felled a Tree as big as that.Let alone done it early in their climbing career. -
404's have a 2.1 L four cylinder Petrol engine in them.Towing or moving quickly is not what they do.Or stop quickly,especially with 2.8 tonn behind and as in your suggestion a full water tank. However if all your jobs were close by and down hill in a dimension where down hill went both ways and where there were gravel traps to stop you when your drum brakes failed. Then I can't see why it wouldn't be a good solution,no?

Quite a few Redwoods I have seen,have lost their tops and grown new ones. Maybe that does no harm when they are in stands of their own kind and sheltered from the wind?The largest one I have seen had mutliple tops after the first one had probably blown out. How long do Redwoods live for in the UK?

If is buggered,then fell it. If you whacked it back to a Pollard,then you would still have several Ton of Stick leaning toward the Road. Its had its day,fell it and plant another.

I burn anything I know or suspect will combust. I really hate taking the Rubbish out and try to burn it if possible.Tin Cans take a while to break down,but anything burns if its hot enough.

How about getting your insurance and qualifications together and go knock on some doors?Be polite,explain yourself clearly,if they are not interested leave a Business Card with them. I bet if you knock on 100 Doors in the right neighbourhoods,you will have some result.

It really is a buyers market for Unimogs at the moment. Prices are down 30% from what they were 6 years ago when I bought mine. Here is a 1994 U1600,with front PTO,only travelled 30,000 Miles,new MOT etc. £22,000!! Fly over,drive it to Danmark,take the Ferry to Harwich or Immingham. Really? That Engine is a Cummins 6 pot. And GM 5.7,6.2 and 6.5's don't have Alloy any things apart from inlet manifolds,Oil cooler and Transmission lines.
