  1. Hire a D6 or similar Dozer, blade some tracks down the slopes and Pull the logs up behind the machine.
  2. Nothing Personal in it mate.I was born 200 Kicks up the Road from you.Spent over half my life in the same game Globally and if my Boys chose a Section fell over a "Straight Fell" in the same situation, then my fault would be with my recruitment policy.P.s. Say Hello to "Dutch Menno" next time you see him.
  3. Bo-laks. It was slick and effective.Who gives flying feces if a motorist is inconvenienced for a minute. The faller slotted the Tree into the Road, the road wasn't busy and ffs if you don't pull the same gig in Dunners then your a liar.
  4. Only wear you Spikes on the outside of your Ankles when Climbing up the inside of a Hollow Tree.
  5. Neither of those are actual Countries though.
  6. I quite agree. As a New Zealander disgusted with the unbridled influx of English into my Country I too understand your concerns.
  7. Nope. And England can't afford it anyhow, well not without raising taxes. Why dilute a professional Armed Forces with short term Soldiers? Its up to the Parents to instill work ethic in their Children, not the Armed forces.
  8. Me too! Recently I have tired of reading my collection of "Razel" at bedtime.
  9. Not all but most seem to be "parts changers".I had the water pump changed on my old Wagon when it went in for a MOT.Picked it up and soon after steam was pouring from the Rad.Had a look and the "Mechanic" had not only punctured the Rad,but rounded off all the bolt heads by using Metric Sockets on Imperial Bolts. Another time at another Garage,I had the Head done on the Mog.They dropped the Engine off its mounts to remove the Head instead of tilting the Cab.Called me halfway through to tell me that it had no compression in two Cylinders,I went in and asked them to test it again. They had not closed the Valve on the Compression Tester between testing the Pots. Finally when I picked it up it was running and smoking like a two stroke. Why?Because they had not tourqed the Head down.
  10. Are these Ex French and Italian Army Trucks? I has a look at some when I was over in Germany looking for a Mog.Nice compact Trucks. How is the turning Circle on them?
  11. Solid Gold Reply! No moaning, just talk face to face,no "Cyber Whinging".Top Man!
  12. Have they acknowledged your grievance and agreed to take steps to prevent a re-occurrence?
  13. Have you had a word with the Shooter(s)?
  14. Is it life threatening?Or could it injure anyone?
  15. I think the influx of new firms "starting out cheap and then we'll bump the price up" is what is holding the market down in the UK and elsewhere. That and lack of savy on the part of business owners to get the most money out of people for their service as possible, which is what business is all about. Tree work has a pretty static demand curve outside of natural events like Storms, coupled with a increase in supply means price goes down. Where I live there used to be three companies in town, now there are seven.I do roughly the same amount of quotes however fewer jobs are accepted. All quotes that we don't hear back from are called back two weeks later, those that are won by my competitors are lost by price.
  16. Because professional crews would be smooth and boring.
  17. I had the same problem when I was on call for a firm in the UK.Except my phone was wrapped in a lead sheet.
  18. I agree with Steve. Attitude does go a long way,but there is no substitute for experience.
  19. Here is one I saw in Egypt.Contrary to popular belief they are actually not Bullet-proof.
  20. Why not buy a Amazon, cut the Cab down and build a Tipping deck on the Back?
  21. That Cruiser Josh posted has a 13BT 3.4 Liter straight 4 Donk in it.
  22. Here is a cracking one. 2010 Toyota Landcruiser VDJ79R GX MY10
