  1. Sounds like I am better off over here.
  2. Pictures would certainly help the Arb Talk experts lead you astray, misinform and argue this thread into a mire of opinion. I shall refrain from further input.
  3. Not really mate. We get to stand around alot, have Tea breaks, sit in the nice Truck Cab between jobs.We are out for about 8 hours a day, actually work for around five. Anyone who thinks that this job is "incredibly physically demanding" is a bit of a "Noddy" or has just left School/Home/The Post Office.
  4. Not that fit.Its not Special Forces for FFS. IF you have the drive to do the job,you will loose the weight you need to loose. Its not a particularly difficult or dangerous job.
  5. A 25" Bar on a 461 will put it into an early Grave if used too often. Is there really much you cut over 40" in diameter? If the answer is no,then put a 20" on the 461.
  6. Typically I simply defecate into my Hand and throw it at passers by,whilst screeching like a Chimpanzee.
  7. Did you hear about the Dyslexic Devil Worshiper? He sold his Soul to Santa.

  10. Used to wear them every day when working in the Forest in New Zealand and Canada. The Spikes are entirely for walking down Logs when delimbing them,or Walking up Logs in Gulleys etc.If your working small Trees and able to stand on the ground when delimbing, then they are a waste of Money.
  11. I worked with a guy who Bayoneted an Iraqi because he was out of Bullets.
  12. As I am unable to Judge your claim,I would require a picture of you taken from behind, whilst feeding a Chipper with your shirt off.
  13. I am more than happy to knock a bit off the top for Cash,as long as the client makes up the difference in price with Sex or Narcotics. Or Guns.
  14. Many for sale in Krautland Gebrauchte Heizohack Hacker oder Häcksler - Landwirt.com
  15. Justin,is it true you are going to have an indoor Forest in which you can try Chainsaws before you buy them?
  16. Please take some Pictures of this.It would be nice to have a doccument of this repair.
  17. I think the man really needs a UNIMOG.Have they been discussed on here before. Might be a good thread to bring it up on.
  18. Mick probably has some Spikes you can have. You'll just have to "Ride" his "Bike" once or twice.Probably won't be soooo bad,its been leagle since the 1960s.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
