I seem to remember reading on some offical website it was safe to burn as there was no toxic chemicals in it anymore. Which is why it soon rots in the ground of course. Try the HSE website or Environment Agency.

Is there a window cleaning head (squeege & rubber) that fits onto Jamieson poles or has anyone adapted something to fit? Can't see why It wouldn't work, 3 sections, would be ideal to do upstairs of house. Not looking to go into professional window cleaning....

It may be you need to see a Physio and strengthen your ankles with exercises. I've worn boots most of my life and I think the ankle support from the boots weakens them so it may be best to wear trainers/trail shoes to work or when you don't really need to be in boots.

The spiral guards are not Biodegradable as I had always thought. They are Photodegradeable which means they go brittle and break in to lots of unwanted plastic litter unless you get them off as soon as they have done their job. Used old ones would tend to be very brittle and shatter easily.

Just to get back on topic...if it's a PAWS site it's best to leave the oaks in where possible, in any condition, as they probably will be the last remnants of the original ancient woodland. -
