  1. what size are you. i have some 8.5 protector pro which are more like a 9 worn once open to realistic offers
  2. also if the groundie has concerns re how its rigged or weight then say something. I lowered out a fair sized bit and all the anchor point failed. Groundies said we thought it might do that so we moved out of the way. surely if they had concerns then they ought to have stopped me.
  3. I am surprised there was just you. surely they could of found you a co worker. I would of thought wellies and safety glasses could of been provided. So what happens now do you just carry on on the dole or are you somewhere else. So how much do you get on benefits ish not been nosey just wondered. At least you can afford to run a car and insure it well i hope it,s insured:thumbup: do you fancy a full time job doing similar or has it put you off?

  5. free delivery over £100 tbh i use about 4 companys and not because 1 is cheaper it,s a case of they all stock different stuff and none of them sell just what we want I am going to give skyland a try as they have a couple of bits i want and I am always game to give a new starter a go as long as it does not cost me too much more:thumbup: but some bits were cheaper:thumbup:
  6. since the elms nearly every species has had a disease or condition that has threatened to wipe it out. Luckily most seem to fizzle out without wiping them all out. Surely it,s time we started not allowing the imports or at least giving some assistance to grow trees in this country. I always stipulate uk only trees and have paid more for locally grown which in all reality grow better anyhow. P.s it was in the sun today as well so it must be true:thumbup:
  7. I have a stihl drill cracking bit of kit i have used spade bits and extensions and extended the extensions:thumbup: Also augre bits.
  8. Hi adam I like the theory of this thread so will add a few bits as they become involved or may just do a rigging info link thread depending how it goes or what you wish. I find very often portawraps are used incorrectly and overloaded or wrong rope diameter or 1 size fits all. Please look at how the info relates to yours and just have a check. portawrap.pdf
