  1. could swap it for summat made out of them when it has all dried out:thumbup1: or come and have a go yourself whilst delivering them:thumbup:
  2. Hi Joe I bought one when they came out and i thought the ring would of threaded through the slots. That would of been far better and I have since never used mine and would never have a karabina up a tree as my anchor as this can rub or catch on the stem and open/fail and sadly i have been on a site when that happened and the gate was opened and damaged when the climber got back up to his anchor. Petzle did investigate and we could not completely re enact but a few options were evident. I also believe it would not be allowed on a climbing assessment as this would be classed as an open system and they recommend a closed system ie a ring on a sling This is the first art product i have been disappointed in but will certainly look closer before i bought any other product.
  3. tbh would not really worry and think you would better spending money on the running of the saw or on a yorkie bar. It will not look any better painted as all the scratches ect will show and will just make it look like a bodged saw and actually decrease it,s value and not make it look or work any better
  4. can generally find plastic pipes as they have a marker strip in them that gives off a magnetic field with a cat. Last gas we went through was a main and had gas billowing out:blushing: once did 360 house phones due to one phone cable but it was a couple of inches wide:blushing: and i dragged it down the road so needed a lump splicing in. Now that was expensive:thumbdown:
  5. if you dont have stats or a cat your stuffed mate. now you know it,s there would it of been able guess it was in the vicinity ie where was it in relation to it going into the house.
  6. so why not just visit the web site and have a news can't keep up with all this stuff
  7. when i got our dunsley yorkshire boiler stove the delivery driver said so why have i delivered this from wales when they are made 1 mile away and the answer was £550 amazing how i bought it so much cheaper from internet:thumbup:when i drive past their spot every day:blushing:

  9. which side of the pulley was against the tree. i usually try to keep the fastener away as i have found this started to loosed when banging on the tree.
  10. Hi Very few would recognise them tbh. and when you say 30 and 36 what do you refer to as fastco never used numbers that i can remember. Big issue really is they were a cert of attendance and now we generally expected to have proof of competency which is why it changed to nptc and lantra ita

  16. we use plantoil in drums but not got any for a while and oil prices change too often nowadays
  17. again I agree but I am sure it has been tested to see what affects it has on the rope. sadly i would rather be safe than sorry and my lifeline is slightly more important to me than 50p a time or less. recon leccy costs more to wash it than the cleaner
  18. seriously guys this is your lifeline get some proper rope cleaner. less than a tenner and does 10-20 washes made by beal who make rope.available from most arb suppliers:thumbup: or if your that tight and don't care use a minuscule amount of non bio but still would say a bit of the rope cleaner

    Whistle

16mm diameter drill 50mm deep I used a forstner 19mm first cut 32 angled cut then a 16mm X 19mm plug with a flat cut off and glued in then cut a slope. I can send you a tech drawing if you want.
