  1. I wonder if he has that much fun every day
  2. Looks more like an echo tbh A what an echo
  3. Run mine on tachyon and did comment after first climb I thought it would be hard on the rope as had a lot of fluff on the zz and ran a spider before. Though not seen any excessive damage to the rope but I am still taking it steady and no heroics till I get to grips with it. Are the damage as a result of ambitious speeds? Is it as said from not flowing in properly. Certainly looks like there is an issue of some sort but so many variables I think it will be hard to pin down..
  4. Nice vid and pics
  5. I have 1 as well and like it Though had to have motor rewound recently which was not pleasant. Do you have the bars on the left as well for doing big stuff to the front
  6. Do you still need someone Pm me if you do
  7. Good job he moved and did not try to keep cutting At least he knew it was a barber and I bet he was glad it snapped off and did not end up having to deal with it with the top hanging on. Fair play for going back in and carrying on I think I would of taken a few mins out.Nice one pete for finding a decent example.
  8. That's not a barber chair or did I not see it
  9. Danish is actually on the syllabus if you do a felling course now. I know what you mean about just keep cutting but in reality what's its going you should have made all the cuts you intend to do and get out of the way. Thoughts?
  10. All depends how there used tbh In general not but needs doing under puwer and big companies usually find it easier to do this under loler Ie if your winching a tree over and you put wedges in then not loler. If it lifts holds or supports it loler if it pulls or assists then not. Hope that makes sense Bob
  11. I have seen that navara in the flesh and thought it was very nice tbh But I don't want another vehicle at the moment 4 is enough for just me
  12. 2X 210 at a time from plantoil and we use Bio more than anything no hassle with disposing of the drums as had to prove where we had disposed of the 25l ones as we abide by the rules:confused1:
  13. I wonder how they did the next piece.. Good find pete
  14. Not sure why they asked you to look if they did not listen to your advice. Included unions at the base worry me a lot less than higher up. I am not a fan of bracing as basically you change all the mechanics and from a liability issue you have admitted there is a fault. Personally I would not spend time and money bracing a sycamore tree in a small garden
  15. Would look nice with a grass roof or sedum But tbh for me just not big enough.
  16. Agreed entirely Also footballs need watering regularly as they have generally been used to that. Personally most of the trees I am involved with are st trees and have found footballs planted in very poor soil rubble Tarmac ect don't get established as little reason to put new roots out and bare rooted take better if hardly any nutrients put in they just seem to buckle down and fight to live. Obviously every area is different but those are the main reasons I use bare rather balled. The cost of watering is fenominal
  17. My mate is looking to buy a spanker or used Toyota hilux Any thoughts as to where he could get one other than local Toyota dealer? Cheers in advance
  18. So what are you planning on doing
  19. If you tie a timber hitch where it loops back should ideally not be on the splice so commonly longer eyes on newer ones to prevent this as the splice basically works as a whole and if the wrap is in the length of the bury of the splice it actually changes how it works and drastic loss of strength. Hope that is understandable. Bob
  20. Well tbh that is out of the norm for councils but we see that everywhere. I bet in reality there are butchered trees within every sq mile of England So some of you are doing it everywhere.

    Dwarfism

Amazing what some of us have in common.
  22. If you make a fist and put your arm out straight to the trunk it is about the right angle for the spikes to dig in. As said place the spikes and your weight should dig them in.. Also very few adjust the length of there spikes and ideally as long as possible to under the knee to give better support and put less stress on your knees
  23. We had a college placement that left a 200 T in the chipper when he started it and chipped the end of the bar. doh Lucky it was only the 150 and not the 250 as that would of chipped the whole saw
  24. bob

    550xp or 560xp?

I am a massive fan of heated handles and for £30 on a £500 saw I think it's well worth it. Those cold days or wet gloves you will always regret It. Go on get it you know it makes sense really.
