  1. Every source posted to be fair has been from the telegraph though.
  2. Agree there the 560 or 357 looses loads on 3/8 on any bar over 15"
  3. Aye I will .... Will try and do a vid vs standard 560 for you as well.
  4. Wish tree kit would do PayPal ! Thanks for the link will get around to it and some point.
  5. Give it time to bed in!!a few tanks of fuel.. New bottom end and rings and all that. Did it tick over and run ok ?
  6. Hi mate it's on eBay with more pics and description but £6500 plus vat may take any serious offers though.
  7. Thanks , tried ordering through the link and it won't as its out side of Germany but hopefully they will get back with a shipping quote. Have not tried any thing but dyna glide for about 8 years as you say it throws nice and is supple unlike a lot of other lines. Look forward to trying some thing else but maybe it's my style of throwing, just smash it through with a 12 and wiggle it around on a 16 Oz to get the route I want... Probably lacking the finesse to throw with an 8oz!!
  8. Roger that Bob, Sierra ,teakettle,BBQ Over and out captain.... It would make Arb talk far more interesting. I did allow the notifications Steve but if some one farted on the forum at 2am you get notified and that got annoying after a while.
  9. I recon I can throw accurate about 50-60ft with a 16oz would prefer a 12 or 14 but would not go lighter than a twelve... Basically the 16 is only there for rerouting a high line. Got a 10oz on at the minute and I nearly took it off and launched it as far as possible after spending 15 mins getting a shot in a cedar and after finally bagging it the bloody thing would not come down... I can't see how people get shots on a 8oz unless they only climb beech or eucalyptus ? What line are you using as I have one possible theory dyna glide is heavier than the bag on high shots !
  10. Got your pm mate, that does not seem to bad .. But then what do I know! Get the vids up !!
  11. You don't get really any warning with the app about pms no flashing in the top corner ... I've gone days without realising so I fail to see what your getting upset about! A head up is nice!
  12. In terms of vibes definitely. Worked with a guy who runs a 440 mag on Monday and it was the first thing he commented on with 5 mins on a 576xp was in his exact words smoother!
  13. I've only had to replace the clutch on my pretty modded 395 ,it does not seem to bother much else on it but it was the original !!and it's been used for milling hardwoods before and after modding which is probably harder on the running gear and seals /crank on a saw than any mods you could throw at it.
  14. Noticed usually after about 12 /24 months depending on usage a change of the cam and especially the cam spring was necessary, but that was with the positioner 1. Have not had the 2 long enough to change anything yet or see if there's a difference in wear patterns but it's holding up well.
  15. Have a fuel Wood splitter for sale will do both kindling and logs if your interested, send me a pm.
  16. I just brought a couple off eBay.
  17. The handles are weak I've broken two once just starting it. The only way to not make it run like a gutless heap is mod the exhaust.
  18. Glad you did check it !! Sorry I can only think I got distracted with rebuilding the starter assembly as it was mangled from the seizure...and was so pleased that I managed to scavenge the bits off broken units and not having to buy a new one in the excitement I over looked those... Good thing your so thorough mate !! Got to admit I'm really pleased it's ticking over!! Can't wait to see the vid of it in action.
  19. Beautiful work, what did you use to finish the walnut table ?
  20. Looks amazing timber, I take it that it's not from the conventional harvested butts? to get the root ball burr are the trees dug out whole or winched out? How do you not wreck saw blades cutting it?.
  21. Must admit I was never impressed with the 372 in terms of reliability.
  22. If you give it to spud a lot more goes on but for this little saw the DIY approach definitely works , I would love to see a ported one.
  23. I must admit I have not adjusted the carb, the first one I modded was still a nice biscuit brown colour with no adjustment but rich is right I would definitely check to make sure it's not lean.
