  1. Will have to go and have a hunt for it again one weekend. Can't load it Paul at the minute but will have a look when my phones finished doing its thing
  2. Spinners work well on the Allen so I'm told last time I worked on the banks there ,I would of loved to of had a go with either though! Did loose a nice sea trout on the north Tyne on a fly last week though.
  3. Yep getting eaten as I type !! Cragside .... Does any body have a location for the UK's tallest Scott's pine there ? I would spend a good deal of time sitting on Allen-mouth beach Darrin or in the river mouth casting at sea trout!
  4. To be honest I think they are one of the most unhelpful companies I've ever dealt with when it came to making a large claim they dragged it out for as long as they possibly could and made the whole situation even more stressful. 1 out of 10 from me.
  5. Nice work tim , good to hear the 560 singing with some great cutting .
  6. I work a lot with my dad who is a serious workaholic, he's just come in from being out starting at 7am on a firewood processor , I really don't know how he keeps going but I do really enjoy climbing or cutting for him and the team work involved is probably better than most of the crews I've worked in and for.
  7. Good to know mate 👍🏻
  8. John I've had a look in my 550 spares box ...a few pics one side is a bit marked .... Pm your addy though if you still want it. Cheers mat.
  9. I've built a few now and they are dead easy with decent elastic....the best one was with a foot loop rich made but I do prefer the velox system with 4srts floop over any thing else it just seems more compact and less difficult to snag.
  10. I have a genuine husky ring I think to go with it as well, I was going to fit but realised when I tried to salvage a cylinder the top of the exhaust port was to damaged and snapped a ring and would keep snapping them so replaced the whole lot oem husky kit.
  11. Lil red barn do one ... Buy a genuine husky ring though. I have a used aftermarket one in the shed if you send me the postage.
  12. I would just buy the haas velox , have used quite a few different knee ascenders and had the ordinal haas the velox is so sweet , no flat spots just very smooth ascent.

    Dolmar

Andrew do you know the ral for dolmar orange ? Also please pm me what I owe you and how to pay for that coil please mate !
  14. Sounds a familiar story .
  15. Sorry did not get that first off mate... I know what I would like to do , but is it worth the grief ...definitely one for rouge traders though.
  16. Do you think this is a wise move ? After all these folk don't give a damn about the law and will you be able to protect your father when the guy comes to his door and demands his money? It was £130 !! Not £1300 he may of done a bad job and you could of done it 10 times better, personally I would let it go.
  17. Email them for current stock and prices they have so many machines coming in and out they won't keep them updated on the web site those are just examples of the stock they have..
  18. I would take the 4.9 m silky for £190 and use steps ! Seriously I would regret using any thing other than the silky , the stein and Jameson do not compare( unless your pulling out hangers) I've owned both, can't comment on the stallion though, it seems value for money....
  19. Loads of trade in's on the jas p Wilsons site.
  20. Definitely an 2001 or 1000 RC device over a portawrap as its so simple to use with basic instruction and puts a lot less slack in the system for inexperienced users that can mess up putting a rope on a portawrap on a rope altogether!! Important especially if you chop and change ground staff a lot.
  21. Is the dead mans throttle inside the trigger when it's back together as its not in the photo, it looks like it's catching ?
  22. From memory like most Stihl top handles you have to have the throttle trigger pressed down to connect to the linkage on the carb.. I think! It's a shame Stihl don't have any work shop manuals or pdf parts lists on line . A bit too late now but I get photos of carb and trigger linkages on my phone before dismantling as they can be a sod if you don't have another spare saw to compare with, also sounds a bit anal like but if I'm doing a full strip down on a saw I'm not used to working on ,get a sheet of card and press each bolt and piece in through it and write where it came from under and it makes reassembly so much easier and your never left with spare bits that your wondering where the hell they came from!.
  23. Valmet/valtra 6400 Massey 390 We use a 91 john Deere 2650 4wd on the processor and have a loader and does well as a yard tractor ,very basic easy to work on about 80hp- I think ,although lacks sufficient hydraulic flow for the kindlet machine we had ,that had to go on the 6400 and the valmet is a much nicer tractor to drive on the road.
  24. Awesome machine ! Sadly About close as I will get to owning one is a picture off a 1990 forestry journal cover!
  25. Very nice design I thought ! That beds given me some ideas though!
