  9. Bearings on the bottom roller of the Schleising 440zx that goes behind our mog. Replacement bearings from a helpful local dealer 15mins away. Had to cut the old bearing (what was left of it) off the shaft with the Dremel to save dropping the whole roller out, that said, Schleising Chippers have got to be the easiest to work on from my experience
  10. In my opinion and going by some of the above posts its very easy to over complicate things. A practical approach and some thought about rooting conditions and the surrounding area can achive alot more than a calculated RPA however you work it out. kinda off topic but certainly relevant
  11. Myself and Al did the garden side yesterday morning and three of us did the roadside stuff this morning
  12. The report said to use a cherry picker but it wouldn't have been practical or cost effective, for a start I reckon she was at least 35m tall with a spread of easily that if not more This was the finished picture from the garden side
  13. ascending up the roadside side of the tree this morning
  14. she was topped about 20 years ago so it promoted some growth. apart from the limb it dropped and the fungi at the base its in fine condition. we removed about 1.8m on this side of the upper crown today and will do the roadside stuff tomorrow
  15. Sorry should of mentioned that it shat a big limb (3ft diameter)off over the highway about 18months ago and there's a bit of gano and beefsteak on the butt
  16. started reducing this beauty today, estimated at 650 years old the stem diameter must be pushing 8ft. The spec (by Neville Faye is for about 15% off the main scaffolds. Pictures don't really do it justice but it's big when you get up on the crown
  17. Because big men behind keyboards rarely have the balls to back up what there saying face to face. If someone was throwing accusations round like that in my local about me there would quickly be a problem
