  1. How many are you after
  2. It has some near the indeed roller but not the full length of the tray
  3. Three pictures from this weeks site clearance so far total of 34 Trees coming out. we did 8 with the crane yesterday, have felled 20 with the winch on the tractor so far and have 6 left to fell should have two days chipping with the heizohack and a arctic load of timber to move plus the 12 tonne I moved with the low loader trailer on Monday
  4. £100-£150 to dismantle it to the red line, no thanks The only way id have anything to do with it for that sort of money would be if it was an easy fell from ground level, leaving it where it lands. Then it would be the sort of little 15 minute job we'd do quickly at the end of a day if it was on our way back as a little brucey bonus
  5. That’s a good solution Eddie, I may get mine converted at some point but this will do for the time being. Il probably refine my setup when I get round to getting an engcon unit. I liked the way it was done for the beam on your old machine where the grab closed into it
  6. Seems to sit pretty well in the grab and doesn’t move to much, I might get an extra bit of box welded to the back to fill it up in the grab a bit more
  7. Should have a bit more grunt @Jonny Burch
  8. Had a rake bucket adapted to work beneath the grab on my 6 tonne excavator works nicely
  9. The 560s are great but I can’t spend any more on a saw that only lasts 18months
  10. Someone will do it and be grateful for the work
  11. Up at 6, let the dogs out, put the kettle on and chuck a few logs on the Woodburner to get it going again. Pop into the Oval Office and get that done then cup of tea make sandwiches and print out job sheets. Take misses up a cup of tea. Let chickens/ducks out, chuck some hay out for the sheep and feed the pigs. Leave home about 7.25 to get to the yard for 730. Sort gear out to leave the yard at 8 to be onsite for 815-830 ish depending on where we are. Tea break at 10ish then lunch around 1. Look to leave site at 330-4ish to be tipped off and packed away by 430
  12. Interesting podcast on lynx reintroduction https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/pace-brothers-into-the-wilderness-podcast/id1037718896?mt=2&i=1000366348101
  13. My 110 tipper is a great truck for following around behind the mog for carrying kit and rake up, it’s handy for a second team to head out in doing smaller jobs with a 6inch towbehind or hedge cutting drives terribly fully loaded wouldnt want one as my sole vehicle and still gets stuck with a load on
  14. All good info, thanks fellas the mk1 I was interested in has now sold but going to get a mk2 instead
  15. As above can anybody tell me the differences between the m1 and m2. Thanks john
  16. didnt it come with a bit of warenty? theres a couple of guys down my way that id be happy to reccomend but obviously there still be a bit of haulage ive used both of them to work on both tractors and my mog either Peter Noble Ltd Wychwood, Highwood, Ringwood, BH24 3LG Tel 01425 474987 or Dovey Ltd Lynwood Lyndhurst Rd, Beaulieu, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, SO42 7YP Tel 01590 611095
  17. I had a PTO version of this setup for crane feeding, awesome chipper and built solid. The trailed version might be different though
  18. or do the paperwork and the reduction yourself as I did ive been arb approved coming up 6 years, it has opened doors for some of the well paying work that we do now, for example the national trust near us will only use arb approved contractors.
  19. Removing a maccy today, felled the two front stems out and winched the larger back stem over with the fransgard winch on the valmet, all stacked and ready to chip with the heizohack by 2pm E8CD6E6F-ABA1-44C1-A815-2EFEB61DFB22.MP4
  20. Pretty nippy the old alpines 727BE924-9FC4-483D-83A7-EC6E0EDDF206.mov
  21. The dealer support when I had mine was awful and as far as I’m aware it still is, the dealer was based in tetbury
  22. We always used to take 4-5 track mats with us on the trailer for the boxer to turn on
  23. Diggers are certainly more versatile but that’s probably for another thread sometime in short I’ve never regretted getting rid of my boxer, I found that you could easily get large pieces of timber onto a arb trolley or similar then we would lift them into a trailer with the roofmount at the other end all without damaging a lawn, that said a skid steer changed the way I worked and I probably wouldn’t be working the way I do now without it i did wrote a blog post for treekit a couple of years ago on the subject if anybody’s interested http://www.treekit.com/blog/investment-in-big-machinery-is-it-worth-it/
  24. I had a boxer loader with a stump grinder for a long time, the loader was awesome but the track system ie bearings, idlers and pulleys wasn’t really up to it long term. The stump grinder was pretty rubbish but filled a gap and made use of the machine until I could afford to replace it with a dedicated grinder buying the boxer was one of the best decisions Ive made and was a good stepping stone to building the kit I’ve got now. Personally I really rate diggers these days but loader type machines are good if your going back and forth a bit
  25. Very pleased with the grab
