  1. We are felling one in New Milton tomorrow , it’s only about 1.2m diameter though
  2. Until recently I had a timber grab with a diverter valve mounted to the side to switch from grab to rotate, it worked well enough and generally didn’t find switching between the two to restrictive. However, having just had an engcon fitted and being now able to rotate and grab at the same time does make a big difference
  3. Unimog 1200 with schleising chipper landy 110 with greenmech chipper valta t150 with 8/400 heizohack chipper massey fegusson 6485 with a variety of trailers 6 tonne Volvo excavator with timber grab/ tree shear and engcon small tracked jensen
  4. Got the tree shear hooked up to it this morning
  5. My engcon got fitted yesterday and new grab turned up this morning. Waiting for my new rake with grab pocket to arrive after the weekend. It was an ex demo unit from engcon so saved a few quid on the unit very Impressed
  6. Yes we can provide basically the same setup but with more powerful tractors
  7. Maybe a bit more hp needed then, I fill my 12 tonne grain trailer with silage sides on in about 40 mins. Conditions of the blades make a huge difference but they are so cheap there should be no excuse to allow them to affect productivity
  8. What hp tractor was it on? I basically run the same setup but with a t150 with roofmount crane or put it behind my 185hp Massey and feed with an excavator Big piles like that can sometimes be a pain to get through with the smaller type crane fed machine, personally I prefer to feed the chipper with a excavator and rotating grab when working with piles like that as it’s easier to pull the pile apart and sort it out a little bit though a lot can be down to the operator id be happy to come down your way if you have any more chipping jobs like that
  9. Oh it was all red on there calender online! I'll have another look tonight Go through the arb association website, it’ll take you to a page where you can book tickets
  10. Twins the movie?... are you headed to the show then?
  11. It wouldn’t be the first time that’s got me in trouble...
  12. What sort of money do you think that would be Eddie?
  13. They are camping spaces available, I booked some last night
  14. Just the standard controls, initially I wanted the little joystick type but opted for the traditional and cheaper ones ?
  15. Out with the new tractor on a chipping job. 50k box makes a big difference for the drive to site
  16. Valmet 8050, slightly more go at 110 but absolutely bombproof tractors
  17. Just waiting for this to come down from Wilson’s
  18. How many are you after
  19. It has some near the indeed roller but not the full length of the tray
  20. Three pictures from this weeks site clearance so far total of 34 Trees coming out. we did 8 with the crane yesterday, have felled 20 with the winch on the tractor so far and have 6 left to fell should have two days chipping with the heizohack and a arctic load of timber to move plus the 12 tonne I moved with the low loader trailer on Monday
  21. £100-£150 to dismantle it to the red line, no thanks The only way id have anything to do with it for that sort of money would be if it was an easy fell from ground level, leaving it where it lands. Then it would be the sort of little 15 minute job we'd do quickly at the end of a day if it was on our way back as a little brucey bonus
  22. That’s a good solution Eddie, I may get mine converted at some point but this will do for the time being. Il probably refine my setup when I get round to getting an engcon unit. I liked the way it was done for the beam on your old machine where the grab closed into it
