  1. your place looks cracking mick some friends have a place in ambérac which is about 5k from mansle and aigre
  2. beetroot, salad, carrots, chard, kale and purple sprouting in the polly tunnel, all over wintered in there. got a load of potato’s in the raised beds outside. cucumbers and corgettes pretty much ready to be planted out. got a tray of spring onions, beetroot and dwarf french beans to plant out in the next week or so. more psb in the propagator with onions and sweet peppers. bit slow off the mark with toms this year, most of mine are only 4-6 inches tall. got lots more salad to plant out as well in the next week-10 days All looking good so far
  3. I have a scheisling 440 pro chipper on my mog. it’s a good chipper but not without its issues. For example i have a recurring problem with the bottom infeed roller bearings breaking up. the plus side is it’s very easy to work on and not a major issue to swap out. ive had a green mech quadchip for the last 7-8 years. had a flywheel bearing issue early on which was sorted under the warranty and a problem with the hydraulic oil rad but again that was easily sorted. It’s not out everyday and tends to go out on smaller pruning work when it’s not worth taking the mog but has still been a good chipper. Honestly I can’t see it ever being replaced unless I sell the mog inwhich case i might get a larger tow behind or tracked machine
  4. it takes one to know one ? you don’t usually hold back using foul language on the forum so why stop now? Or am i just supposed to feel intimidated “a man on the internet said he’d like to say bad things about me” grow up
  5. wether or not i ignored some bloke off a forum on the internet once upon a time is neither here nor there eggs. I’d walk the other way if I saw you at a show these days knowing how you conduct yourself online. If i don’t like the way you communicate on a forum why would i want to have a conversation with you in real life?? I guess you ran out of people to argue with on “Cesspit forum”
  6. well done you’ve proved my point!! i never questioned wether what you were saying was true or otherwise, only that the way you communicate is confrontational. how about take a step back and have a look at yourself and mendip logs....the bloke never posted much of any interest to me, so why would i waste my time making small talk of which i’m not a big fan of at the best of times. If i’m honest there’s plenty of people i’d avoid at shows given the chance.
  7. It may well be the truth, but its the way you convey it And how did I treat him?
  8. you come across as a right prick sometimes eggs, i really wish you’d wind your neck in a bit. you certainly don’t make this a nice place to be with your confrontational attitude
  9. £250 a day? not in the new forest
  10. my jcb 65r with engcon tiltrotator and my small yanmar that i keep at home with an old 3pt linkage post knocker i adapted to fit on the digger
  11. I give £1200 for it 4/5 years ago Its probably increased in value by £1000-£1200 quid in that time I put a new clutch and flywheel gear ring on it last year great old tractor, throws up less fault codes than my others ?
  12. my 1947 te20 IMG_0046.MOV
  13. i didn’t think it was particularly expensive at £45 a month
  14. After picking up a couple of larger development site surveys i’m now looking for some software to aid with my surveying. i’m interested in the Otiss software and have been playing around with the demo the last couple of days. it seems fairly easy to use which is a big plus for me has anybody got experience with it? thanks
  15. you know what us new forest types are like ? theres a lot to be said for saving for a rainy day we are both well mate ?
  16. yes i always try to find a solution, i’m not a big fan of the “woe is me” option what am i doing? im enjoying having some enforced time off work, it’s nice to tick off some jobs on my smallholding I won’t be claiming any money from anyone if i can help it, through hard work and leading a fairly frugal lifestyle i’ve managed to save a bit of money that will cover the finance on my two tractors, two diggers and the heizohack as well as my mortgage and other domestic and work bills for a few months if this lockdown continues for the long term i might speak to my finance companies about a payment holiday and i believe my misses has spoken to our mortgage company about a payment holiday. she’s also self employed
  17. moaning that your not getting any government handouts and now quibbling over how much money you might be able to earn in a job that’s a stop gap till your trade picks up again ?
  18. My new machine arrived today, JCB 65r1 with steel tracks and engcon tiltrotator with gripper. need to sort out guarding and getting the case drain fitted for the flail tomorrow and it’ll be straight out to work practically moving from one site to the next for the next couple of months with a bit of sub contracting thrown in for good measure
  19. unimogs rock apart from when they dont nothing major just a funny clutch and a good hydraulic leak
  20. I was told by a commercial sawyer that you should change the band when you start getting the feathery swarf in the back of the blade, i usually push on and get a bit more done till i feel a difference in cutting speed
  21. I fully understand the concept of budgets my comment was meant to be slightly tongue in cheek, I’m sure a far better value for money option would have been available rather than having two people, a skid steer and chipper onsite for a day for what is essentially 20mins work with a tractor and moderately sized heizohack
  22. obviously got some budget to get rid of
  23. not at all, it handles the weight very well
  24. my mates got the 2.7 so i’m sure it’ll be alongside it at somepoint. this machine will go through a 1m gap.
  25. 20k for the machine and 2.7k for the grab
