  1. A spot of woodland rough shooting with the beretta a303 semi auto this weekend
  2. A week of pine removals, been a busy week with one thing and another but the guys managed to get a few snaps today when we removed the last tree and timber from the other four with a crane
  3. the point at which people fall down is they dont specify the working hours if we are on a day rate we are onsite 8-4. we have upto half an hour at 10 and half an hour at 1 People cant argue youve left early if you establish these things before you start It also gives you scope to stop less and leave early if you want to crack on with it
  4. funnily enough ive got the same problem with the main lift ram on my botex crane, the ram extends but only to about half its length
  5. Few pictures from yesterday's crane removal
  6. The crane was sat on a pretty narrow lane so had to have two of the outriggers on a path and someone's drive, plus there were powercables and bt lines on both sides of the road. There just wasn't really the space to lower down big pieces into the road and we kinda had to cut our way into the crown because of the setup position All down and gone in a day. 5 loads of chip, two big tractor loads of timber, two transits of timber and a load of rake up
  7. pine removal today \filmed and edited by the customer [ame] [/ame]
  8. its amazingly productive, your talking about 3 mins for a 35ft tall birch from start to finish including felling. alot of the time you dont need to sned as you just crush with the grab. I wanted to get the 12" heizohack originally but couldnt afford it at the time so jumped at the Jensen when I found it. Its pretty awkward to feed small stuff as its mostly guess work because the field of view is so crap close in, I imagine the heizohack being side feed makes it slightly easier?
  9. I hove that setup tom, Heizohack will definately be my next big purchase I reckon Finished off some woodland work for one of the local councils, Nice easy few days with some good weather thrown in [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame]
  10. How did you get the ring on yours marcus? I pimped mine out with the petzl ring
  11. I'm pleased with mine and the extra reach is handy when your really stretching. It's a bit weird how far it stretches when you drop the saw though
  12. the recoil lanyard availible from treekit is good ReeCoil - Full Reach Chainsaw Lanyard
  13. My setup with the crane fed chipper on the back My mates fendt with 11tonne botex trailer behind
  14. Unfortunately me and my team were subbing to another company so my roof mount was sat in the yard about an hour away. Luckily we had put a arb trolley in the truck in the morning so we moved the stem in 3ft lumps with the ivy attached into the back garden. There was a pretty big pile of ivy and rakings to be moved by the fellas blokes on Monday though
  15. A wee one from today, stem about 30inch diameter Pulled with a truck 90 degrees to the lean
  16. A mix of deadwooding and partial reduction on some trees that have been dying back. There's 3 fells to do as well when the ground dries out a bit
  17. Working on the oak avenue at Kingston lacy house for the national trust today, nice spot with some cool trees
  18. thats good to know, maybe im wrong to be thinking it would be cheaper, especially when you think about what your asking them to insure
  19. This has been covered a couple of times before but always good to get some current info Who are people insuring there mogs with, Ive spoken to the NFU and they are saying around the 1k mark which is incidently the same as my Valmet but beginning to think this maybe on the highside look forward to your thoughts
