That’s cool thank you however that is showing regular encapsulation as the tree expands. What we need is visuals of a tree ‘knowing’ an object is close by and growing towards it for physical support.

Sorry, just for everyone's clarity (or maybe just me?), is that like a, er, double ender, but with an extra wotsit, then ?? I had no idea that my fellow tree-botherers were quite so... shall I say, adventurous ?! And does this all happen on the ground, or up in the tree canopy ? -Just asking for a friend, obviously... 😂

Over the years I've been on and off with both AA and RAC, often you get a cheap price as a new member, then a year later the renewal is a lot more, and you can cancel and switch to the other company. (and even get cashback too) Broken down plenty of times, always in vans, usually sign written, sometimes with trailers, and it's never been mentioned about me not having the "commercial policy". Maybe I've jinxed it now!

I use the rhino for my srt endeavours, I find it tight to get it all on, it also seems tight sliding the swen eyes over but once all on it works well, i think I may have used a mighty O previously. Since I have been wedded to the rhino I am not aloud to look at any other options.

Unlike the DPF where if you don't take the guts out of it it will still clog up even if you deleat the regen prog .

If I had masses of repollarding I would consider buying Infaco - just done 3 horse chestnuts with almost a decade of regrowth, would have been great. Infaco are French and pro grade for fruit growers, arb, viticuture. The large head to fit the pruner looks a beast

Nice idea about the spreaders, presumably something along the lines of the Irwin Quick Clamp/Spreaders would do a similar job. Certainly make life easier for puncture repairs.

Thanks mark.

Thanks @Mick Jones yes well it seems that it is not out of the realms of possibilities that the push rods can bend with out something being terminally wrong. Well it was my wife who was tractoring prior to it breaking god knows what she was about, well mucking out without the rear weigh on- makes it a hard job with out the weight as there is already too much weight on the front end.

I'm pretty sure this is a known problem. What I did with mine was to buy an extra fibre washer and fit two washers at a time for a snugger fit. Seems to work OK that way. - Last week

Have been working for Neill Gretton in Bath since September 2023. Currently Fridays are my more free day but could potentially make some availability on others days for the right job. Qualification so far: NPTC Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross Cutting, NPTC Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm Emergency First Aid at Work & Forestry (EFAW+F) NPTC Climbing and Aerial rescue CS38 NPTC Chainsaw from rope and harness CS39 LANTRA Woodchipper course LANTRA Technical Award in Basic Tree Survey and Inspection Equipment: Stihl MS-362 chainsaw, Stihl MS200T climbing saw, Silky Zubat & Tsurugi saws, Felco secateurs, a Fiskars PowerGear X Telescopic Tree Pruner and a PPE: Petzl helmet with chipper spec ear defenders & face shield, chainsaw trousers and boots and a climbing harness In 2024 I successfully completed The Orchard Projects Certificate in Community Orcharding (CICO) accredited by the Crossfiled Institute covering all areas of orchard management and design. I plan to complete the Level 4 Qualification in Arboriculture in the next few years once I have all the tickets and a bit more experience. In the meantime I'm continuing to learn as much as possible about plant biology and arboricultural theory. I'm keen to gain more experience particularly in woodland and agricultural environments.
