I've just started a 20 litre of Rye oils finest. Also very much enjoying their Easing Oil LV in a pump bottle instead of WD40.

Neighbour's application to cut back my tpo'd tree
LilyLangtree replied to LilyLangtree's topic in Trees and the Law
I've seen his application, he wants to cut the tree back to where he believes the boundary is but there's the original low wall between the tree and his land. He wants to grab land to put a shed on. I've spoken with the tree officer today and he said that whilst he understands my concerns they don't take boundaries into consideration but cutting the tree back that much would not be allowed anyway. -
I have the Record No.6 fore plane I queued for in the fifties, It was a Saturday morning in a dedicated tool shop, Skeet and Jeffes, and one took a plastic number from a caddy and waited to be called, the service was terrible. It's under my bed to keep it rust free. We have a cluster of asbestos related disease locally, associated with the local gasket factory, the medical officer, my GP in 1972, was in denial about it then, when I left the practice (after 71 years) I noticed his name was not in the practice history.

Blackmdog in this heat!

Yes, it's a very long time since I was involved in conifer plantation forestry and I cannot remember it causing significant damage to douglas but things have moved on and its hotter and drier plus you are a few hundred miles south and further from the coast, so hotter still.

Suspect the finances arn't there for that, any tax rise to pay for nationalising - to buy it back again - would be met with tears. Railways are slightly different, nothing to buy back at the end of a rail franchise, just take it onboard but Tories sold off critical utilities wholesale - there is no cheap option - buy out the shareholders, or take them on with the debts if they go bankrupt, lands the UK with a massive bill either way.

Has anyone use POR15 to seal an aluminium fuel tank? did it work?
-
Hi Mowandgo! Did you ever figure out was causing your mantis Honda gx25 tiller to cut out at high rpm? I replaced the fuel filter and lines on mine and fixed the engine from turning off today and it seemed to run fine for awhile at full throttle but started to lose a little power and almost seemed like it was skipping, it’s extremely hot today in NC. but I’m thinking it’s the coil or valves. It has new plug, air and fuel filter and fuel lines. checked the oil to make sure it was ok, it was full but like thin cooked hot water. I’ve never understood how lawn mowers, motorcycles and tillers last so long. It was having the exact same issues as yours though, been a great tiller. Thanks and have a great one. sundrop.
