Footage from the successful (if loud) M-Tronic operation this morning. Why can’t car ECUs be that easy?
  3. Bunkers, arms caches and patriotism: UK ‘not ready’ for Russian invasion, claims British ex-pat living in Finland APPLE.NEWS A British man living in Finland has warned that the UK is 'not ready' for potential Russian aggression. The weapon you mention, we are not in any way shape or form ready to defend ourselves as a nation. We waste billions yearly yet just apply sticking plasters to our armed forces. Compared to the country in the article I posted we are a joke when it comes to being prepared.

  5. That's near enough what I reckon too, Ukraine has been very inventive with modern tech, took Russia by surprise that they didn't just roll over, Putin can't loose face so it is a war of attrition and who runs out of hardware first I think. Putin and Trump can talk all they want bur Putin is never going to walk away with nothing.
  6. get a hailo ladder they are adjustable and can be used as steps and a ladder https://www.hailo-shop.co.uk/store/ladders/combination-ladders/hailo-s100-profilot/
  7. Indeed. Not oak or douglas fir. First result on google says, "greenheart is one of the stiffest woods in the world." Curious if that's just an advantage in a timber framed house build or whether you need a bit of flex if the structure is meant to flex a bit. Presumably training for cutting them under tension and not standing in the wrong place while doing so? There are some horrible videos of people cutting steel RSJs. They've got loads of stress in them. Twang. Shin in thirty pieces.

  9. Just a slotted spoon in one hand and teaspoon in the other- yes it seems never ending but made more bearable with a nice cold beer on the go 🍺

  12. Got it running now. Runs great on idle and when throttle is applied. I cleaned a breather pipe and this some how sorted it out. As for oem parts, the piston, cylinder and coil are genuine. The crank and carburettor are after market. An original crank is £200. Hopefully it runs now. May put the original carburettor on but get it pressure tested as previously mentioned.

Thanks for the replies. One of our husky saws has far too aggressive a chain too
  15. Yeah, its different splice to a traditional double braid
  16. Well here’s my two pennies worth - to be honest with you I find your advertising to be boring and tedious having to scroll past and ignore you posts. Not only do you have several adverts across various threads you’ve now taken up several ads in the classified section? If all arb related retailers did what you do the real interesting and often informative threads on arbtalk would be lost and the forum probably die? We all have existing retailers we go to as first point of call, we can all use Google and also use the block adds down the side of every page on here where required and I do? Also when you started I did a couple of comparisons and you weren’t much cheaper if at all than a few other retailers? You asked, that’s my opinion, it of course will make no difference what I say🤔

    Oh sod off

I imagine avoiding anything with my name on because I generally treat them like an unannounced DEFRA visit.
  18. All the best for the future Pete 👍
  19. I used your guide thanks but the resetting warm was advice I read elsewhere. Anyway, I'm going to remeasure the gaps once I've received the fresh rocker cover rubber seal which leaks a little. Thanks for posting that guide.
  20. Old Christmas tree that went a bit mental. Drop zone was main issue on this one, but nothing broken that shouldn't be😁
  21. I tend to agree, whilst the US has picked up the slack and Trump gets slated the fact of the matter is the western NATO countries with the exception of a couple of members have gutted their armed forces to the point that they are virtually useless. The UK in particular has huge problems at the minute, whilst we have politicians grandstanding about “ the coalition of the willing” the reality is we couldn’t even begin to defend our own country never mind venture farther afield. We can’t even stop a few dinghies crossing the channel at the minute.
  22. Same headstock as Avant.
