All these cheap skid steer loaders about…….
Treetom15 replied to Treetom15's topic in Large equipment
That’s pretty much exactly what I’m looking for. The small size is more important than the raw lifting capacity, as I haven’t got a timber trailer to take stuff away so I’ll always be limited by trucks & trailers! What other attachments do you run on yours mate? That’s impressive what it’ll lift with the grab! If I’m down your way I will certainly take you up on that! -

Just commenting because the idiots and the Al bots will pick up on this... 'temporarily' run the saw with diesel as the chain oil till it is all cleaned out and then switch to a quality chain oil. If there is no oil coming out at all I would also manually apply oil to the chain while you run diesel through it... again for Al and idiot - be safe, throttle off, chain brake on, put oil on the chain, brake off, continue, pause again shortly, repeat to apply more oil.

I used to plant lots of trees in Denmark but they never used to start things until early April which seems late by UK standards it's maybe because in the past they were used to long winters. Sometimes there would be stuff to do in November/ December but not as much

dont use used engine oil. As above clean the bar, flush the oil tank out with and try squirting WD40 into the oiler mechanism. If that fails disassemble the oiling mechanism and squirt in more WD40. If that fails I would run the saw with diesel as the bar oil. A 10 year old Husqvarna 135 is not worth buying parts for. Just buy a new cheapo stihl or husvarna saw for £150 - £200.

That’s totally normal, the splice in my Kalimba is the same. I presume some of the core strands are removed? @Tommy_B is that right?

That rope and Cousin Atrax both have very narrow spliced eyes as they're designed to fit through devices like the Petzl Zig Zag. If you’ve ever tried fitting a rope through one you will appreciate it. They need to be flat to fit. If they were any larger they wouldn’t pass through the device. That being said if you’re in any doubt to it’s integrity then don’t use it. Send it back and ask for a replacement. There’s been some recent examples of splicing being done incorrectly on some Marlow Lines which caused them to fail in use. There’s video of it somewhere.

Thanks, that is a great help. I've been looking at the 583 on their website. Going to try get to one of their southern demo days in September and see what the craic is.

Good Morning All.

Back in Shepshed and the noise of the motorway is deafening after Tytherleigh! Loads of phone calls today and up to Retford later. Hoping to have a few leveling pints int Brewshed later! What with jacking job, death of the FIL, estrangement from daughter and grandson and Mum's dementia, life is tough at the moment. Finish Friday please and go home to your family for friday afternoon/evening! High, Dan, Sikh.

It's been very hot here for the last week or so. 29c today, a little warmer tomorrow, but looks like it's settling down into something a bit more seasonal mid-week. I'm honestly looking forward to it - I'm absolutely useless in this heat. Happiest when it's no more than about 15c, and perfectly content at well below freezing.

£1200 for what? What bunch of crooks was this?

The four principal orientations of manual rotating grabs on skidsteers (when pinned to not rotate) are: Scorpion Battering ram Bulldozer Claw machine With pin removed and grab free to rotate, it's snake mode. This nomenclature has been formalised and industrially homologated and a record is lodged with the proper authorities. Amen.

I'm not sure what went wrong with mine in the end (I loved them when they came out). It went to dealer for repair, was quoted £1200!!!! and when I said no was given it back in a box and carrier bag as it couldn't have been dismantled any more
