  1. Hmmmm, good point. But if Im not wanting to wait two years to get them down to 20%? Say 2" Slabs, I wonder how long would Kiln Drying them take to get down to 20%? And also the cost? Not really looked into it yet. Will most likely buy another Polly Tunnel and stack them till I have more time and money.
  2. If I hit metal and lose a few teeth I dont bother taking them all down to the same size, I just realise they will be skipped for the next while. I assumed you meant one side longer than the other. That would cause issues.
  3. Was thinking a Shipping Container or something? Maybe an insulated Truck Body?
  4. Good to know. I always look after mine anyway so its never been an issue. But Ive always been told that the teeth set to the right depth each side is the most important.
  5. I dont think thats good advice at all but hey ho. And if anyone is thinking of getting a Granberg Sharpener they can set the Rakers to the correct depth too.
  6. Id say uneven sharpening. I bought the Granberg Persision Sharperner, its great. I file 2-3 times by hand then the 4th time go over the chain with the Granberg to make sure everything is still even. Ive never had an issue like this though, even with buggered chains. Out of interest why are you leaving the last foot unmilled then starting at the other end? I cant see any logical reason of it? The most dificult bit of milling after the first cut is getting the Mill to enter square, why double the change of buggering it up?
  7. Do you kiln dry or air dry? I wonder if I should invest in a kiln? Ie, build one?
  8. Thanks for the in depth reply. Think I'll pass on the Lime then. The Chestnut Log is meant to be over 1.2m wide so good to know I should look for Ring Shake.
  9. Anyone Milled Lime and Sweet Chestnut? Any positives or negatives? Retail Value? Some logs for sale my way.
  10. Sounds like you want a Smartphone?
  11. Out of interest what do you do with them that demands that spec?
  12. Pretty! What do you recon you'd get for them as 1.5"-2" Slabs?
  13. How much more do you think the slabs would have been worth of you left them with the live edge and how much wider would they have been?
  14. Sweet. Considering a 87 or 92" Kit, if there was work for it. PS, where did you buy the cammo Bar?
  15. how do you trim them? Considering a bigger Mill?
  16. Ha ha, no that could up a disaster, or maybe not, depending on your persuasion.
  17. What have I just read?
  18. Im guessing by the time you let go of the throttle you'd be 1-2" in anyway, depending on the job of course.
  19. No, never contacted him. Just reeked of Scam and I watched the auction. Then all of a sudden its back up again. Usual story of low feedback for worthless items, no paypal and no other items for sale. Same every time.
  20. Its the second time he's had this up for sale, same scam as before.
  21. I think they are just banning the future sales of inefficient Stoves. What you have in your homes now will not be affected.
