Quite, but its always people paying the minimum tax suggesting that we all pay that bit more for the services we get, or to improve them. My tax it put up every bloody year for numerous heart string tugging reasons. I dont need the suggestion of more.

I paid over £40k last year. Please ask someone else to 'pay a few more quid'.

I dont mind paying tax, but it should be a lot more balanced and fair. A lot of hard working people are unfairly burdened. As mentioned a Scandinavian system would be much more fair. Out of interest how much tax do you pay if you feel like you'd be happy paying more?

Completely agree, whilst we'll never be free of tax, unless we want to live in mut huts in Africa and die at 30. But I resent paying what I do and the behemoth of a system its become.

I work in Norway. I have no option but to pay my tax there. There is an agreement with the Government that as long as Im paying more tax to Norway than I am to the UK I dont need to pay any additional tax in the UK. Unfirtunately Im now at the point that Scotland want more tax from me than they do in Norway, without any of the benefits I would/do enjoy in Norway.

I agree, and the tax system in Scandinavia, Norway at least is far more balanced. So although the tax is high its spread over the population more evenly. The thing is I pay my tax to Norway yet Im at the threshold of paying the difference to Scotland. selective socialism like we have in Scotland is a disgrace.

Im familiar with the political landscape and can easily distinguish between authoritarianism and libertarianism, your posting seems to indicate you struggle with the concepts though. The only alternative to tax you're posted is paying for what you use. That sounds much more like a Capitalist view point than say a libertarian one, it also indicates that if you have no means of paying for a service then you're screwed. As much as I hate paying the amount of Tax I do I understand that there is no other way to fund all the services we take for granted. So please, educate me on how you think these services could be funded without taxation? As far as I can see that would be indentured service and then we're back to being Commies. Research what? You've not given a singe example to look into. So you avoided School did you? If you have kids did you home school them? Do you intend to use the NHS? You avoid Roadsd and Pathways? You choose not to get your bins emptied? Seems like you just pick and choose what you wish to claim you use. Id be interested to see the list of things you avoid. I completely agree with what you say. I hate the SNP for taxing me even higher than if I was in England. They just appease their majority base of soap dodging free-loaders. Anyway, its still tax and supposedly 'evil', I just wondered how AHPP would have schools, Uni's, the NHS, Pensions, infrastructure etc etc ran without tax. Its clear he has no alternative. Its just 'evil'.

Yes its a big question but other than 'less tax' what would you consider a viable alternative?
