  1. Yes, you are a blind little Pawn with a few qualifications, big deal. Northern Ireland should belong to the Irish not the English. Gulf Wars is one of the main reasons you are a Pawn and seem to fail to realise that. 'Serving' in either of those places earns you zero respect although Im sure its fun messing around with Choppers but name dripping the Ginger **** is quite cringe worthy but as a good little Soldier-Boy you'll be as proud as punch no doubt. £90k huh? Not bad really although after 24 years in the game Id expect more. When you say around £90k is that rounded up or down? £85k does not have the same ring to it does it? Since you feel the need to swing Dicks and bring wages into it I was earning over £90k when I was 30. These days Im disappointed if I dont bring in over £140k, I'll assume you'll also be tax free?
  2. Another Army Wank thinking they are all that. We see plenty of you rejects trying to enter the real world with your false sense of entitlement and hugely inflated egos. Generally they all fail badly and are next to useless at everything yet bore everyone continually with BS Army stories. The Army does not exist to protect our sorry asses, its their to protect London and its interests but Pawns like you will never see this and are quite happy getting chewed up and spat out like the good little pawns you are.
  3. You need help, you obviously have issues that need addressing.
  4. They have Strawberries over here. Next to my house in fact. I work in Stavanger so if I can help in anyway let me know. I dont speak Norgie though.
  5. I really fancy getting one of these and just love your trailer. May I ask how much it cost to build? Andy
  6. Ordered! D I'll use the Oiler on my 48" Mill I think? Would the 36" Mill work comfortably with an 18" Bar also?
  7. I work in Norway (Stavanger) Its nice here, huh?
  8. May not be of much help but I work in Norway. Norway seems to be filled with Swedes looking for work and generally menial work at that. The pay will be way better than the UK but if you're gonna live there whilst working you'll soon find it does not stretch very far. I found both my wife and I had to work to retain the same standards of living we had back in Scotland when I was the only breadwinner. Thankfully I now work in Norway but live back in Scotland so get the best of both worlds.
  9. Im not saying it burns as good wet as it does seasoned obviously. But it burns very well freshly cut compared to other hardwoods.
  10. ok, I'll have to investigate So there is no for sale forum here?
  11. Ok, I have never used one so I could be wrong but how does the saw transfer power to the winch without a Chain Drive? The Winch Im thinking of buying must be an old design maybe?
  12. Thanks for the replies. A new Winch is £900 which is way more than I have right now or even this summer. The Saw will still need to drive the Winch so a chain is still needed to turn the Winch.
  13. Hello all, not sure where to post this request? Im looking to buy a used Lewis Winch but they seem to be thin on the ground here in the UK. I have agreed to buy one in the US but it is missing the Drive Chain for the Saw and it does not seem easy to get one here. He's willing to cancel the auction but before I do does anyone know if there is any for sale in the UK? Including shipping am already over £500 and then I'll have tax on top of that. Is there a for sale section here? Cheers, Andy
  14. Silver Birth for me as well. King of Norway I noticed as I lived there for 5 years and its all they want to burn, even import it from East Europe. Seems to be an open secret here in Scotland. Also it burns well unseasoned.
  15. Hey all! Thank you so much for the replies, means a lot to me. I dont get a lot of time to do this kind of work so all the assistance sure helps. So, from what I can gather is; Kiln dry if I can. Dry as much as I can. Do not wax/Varnish, Wipe the mold with Borax. I have to go to work for a few weeks so maybe drying a bit in the house before cutting and planing will help? Many thanks, Andy
  16. 80 views and no replys? Have I posted this in the wrong section? Or have I asked a stupid question? appologies if I have, Im not overly failure with the protocols here. Andy:thumbup:
  17. Sorry if Im covering old ground but I really would appreciate some feedback. Ive been milling an Old Beech that was Windblown around two years ago now and was rotten up the center. Ive got some nice 2" Slabs and 4" Beams out of it. My Daughter is desperate for me to make her a bed out of some of this wood but is not happy about waiting so long for it to dry. I would Mortice and Tenon the joints obviously and would be basing the design on the picture below but with a single slab at the top and bottom of the bed with 2-3 tenons on each side. (depending of feedback) My main concern is obviously splitting and warping/cupping due to not seasoning the wood and I really would appreciate any feedback on what to expect and any suggestions are most welcome.
  18. Some pics of me Milling some Beech and Oak.
