  1. Nope! 100% power free. Thats why Id like a place like this to escape to for a week at a time. Its almost a Norwegian way of life having a 'hytte' or cabin. Albeit mostly with power these days but there is many out in the sticks that just have a Stove. Here in Scotland a few mates and my Brother and I do a bit of walking and Bothy nights. Cant beat it.
  2. Ha ha, fair enough. Been there a few times myself. Visitors rarely come back.
  3. Worth a watch. Would love a wee place like this I could escape to for a week or so at a time.
  4. Worth bolting on some Spirit Levels then?
  5. Yeh, never thought of that! Ah well, might have to just bite the bullet and lay some concrete then. Be as well clearing my logs needing split and making a decent pad. Since it looks like the Mill will be going back I have some time now anyway.
  6. Ok, I guess the general consensus is Concrete then? It will only be till the Trailer package is ready though. And Working away for a month at a time Im not even sure how much Milling time Id get anyway.
  7. I did think about that but Im not sure the Wife will be happy with a big old slab smack bang out the front door. Do you think Type 1 whacked down and then 6x6" Posts or Sleepers under each leg will have movement?
  8. Well, I thought Id start a new thread on my new Logosol as 1, Im no longer looking for a Bandsaw and 2, the other thread now has a flown the nest nad has a happy life all on its own. So Ive taken delivery of the B751 from Davies Implements. Very good people to deal with on the phone. 24 hour shipping which was great but unfortunately the Saw Head was damaged during transit so I'm in limbo just now whilst waiting on a decision about what will happen next. Anyway, as the trailer package will not be available till Spring/Summer 2019 I'm preparing a site out the front of my house for the Mill to sit. Much to my Wifes endless amusement. Once Im mobile with the Mill it will be parked here anyway. I'll eventually build a Car Port type thing for it. And yes, also a log store. We should be buying the house in the Summer but in case that falls through I dont want to build anything permanent. A local Tree Surgeon very kindly Ground the Stumps out and the 6 tons of Type 1 still needs to be spread out a little more and leveled off. Currently its 6 meters by 2m but ideally Id like 7-8 meters in length so may need another bag or two. Im guessing I should get a whacker plate in for the day?
  9. Typical! I just buy one and then there's two on my doorstep!
  10. Did you make that yourself or have it made? If you had it made how much did you pay?
  11. From looking at pictures on-line the 130 does look more heavy duty. I know the Chassis on the Sawhead is now Galvanized too. Plus it has the sliding Band Guide and Electric Start as standard now, maybe on the 126 too if you'd get the 14 horse? If you'd only ever use the 126 then maybe get that? But personally if I could afford it Id get as big as I could, you never know what Logs might come your way. As mentioned Ive got the Logosol but feel free to swing past if you're every venturing south and have a nosey. It arrived yesterday but its been damaged in transit so Im in limbo if I can even start building the bed as it looks to me it will need replaced.
  12. Sorry, I assumed two units came in as PX and those two units are now up for sale as used items and as such a fixed price would be available for each individual unit.
  13. Well, had someone reverse over my 034 today. The Saw was literally jammed under the chassis and we had to get a jack under it to lift it off the saw. Looks a bit bent out of shape but still runs. They offered to fix whatever was needed but as it runs whats the best option for me to do here?
  14. Thats a lovely motor! What cant will you be able to cut with this? Looking forward to seeing it progress.
  15. Off-shore or over-sea's? That sounds strangely familiare to me? What do you do?
  16. Id weigh up the extra time used to Mill 25 Tons versus buying a Bandsaw. I dont know how many days that would be but could be considerable? That would be days you could be out earning instead of Milling. Another issue I found when looking for a used Mill is there simply is none for sale. And if you manage to find one they want 90% retail for a 4 year old machine. You'd almost be as well buying a new Mill, running it for a year then selling it on. You'd lose about £500.
  17. I think the main thing is to allow the Mod to read your mind and allow him to predetermine if you'd apologise for not using one.
  18. I'll make a report and vid once I get mine going. Not sure how much help that would be to you as all I've ever done is Alaskan Milling.
  19. Standard Bed is 4.8m with 1.14m extensions. Ive not bothered with an extension yet but I have someone looking at getting a lot of Soft Wood Milled for an extension to his property, then Id need one or two sets. Plus I was maxed out on my budget anyway. Inc VAT the Woodland Mills 130 Woodlander XL, which was what I was going to buy was £7000. Around the same for the Norwood LT29 inc Trailer. The B751 was £6000 without the Trailer Package. The Trailer Package will add around £2500 to the Cost. It would be less if I waited till next summer and bought the PRO as the Bed will have the B1001 style and would have saved me over £500. Never mind, I cant wait that long. Yes, hopefully I'll be set up when you pop up for the Stove, which reminds me I need to get the Buffer Tank out the Lock-Up.
  20. Yes, so I asked you to clarify what you wrote, but although you're clearly to busy to explain why one person gets banned for maybe not having any intention to apologize and not actually for what he wrote you clearly have time to troll through my previous posts hoping to find some ammunition to back up your emotional based decision.
  21. Wow, all on your own free will, huh? Imagine that? I wonder who's forcing me to post? I mean, that is what you initially posted right? Until you added that little extra regarding sensibilities. Clearly me 'bleating afoot' offends yours so you feel the need to 'participate'. Somewhat ironic....
  22. Well I had until you quoted me and stared asking me questions....
